im sure all the folks who missed the fight and will be watching it later tonight will just love the title of this post!!

I missed the fight due to the bastard weather putting out my Sky Digital signal

Happened just as the Korean got in the ring, by the time I got the portable set up, the ref was holding up Amirs arm.

Post fight interview was funny, Amirs club coach said that they had been working on the right hand all week, Amir came over and credited the strategy to the GB coach

Our guy sickened a solid Korean who reached the world quarter-finals. How often do you see Koreans buckle like that?

missed it earlier, 2-10 this week.

The kid showed some good power along with his fast handed skills, it was a nice surprise to see he packs a dig. Against Stilianov he had his man in trouble late on and now he buckles and practically stops a tough Korean, for all his faults the Korean looked sturdy and solid enough, Khan shook him up badly.

As for the post fight interviews, i like Khan so far as a person, he is gracious and sensible and is always quick to give credit to his team for the tactics and tuition going into the fight. This kid has been compared to Naseem Hamed, but he is nothing like him as a person thank god, he doesn't seem a cocky sort but quietly self assured and growing in confidence.

Yes he seems a million miles away from the Naseem persona, I saw his farther Shah interviewed after his last fight, and he too seemed very amiable and genuine.
We have been calling for some real talent in Britain for a long time and here we have it.
Khan will turn over and we will have two great prospects to watch..David Haye and Amir Khan.

For anyone who doesn't know, Genghis Khan's army was called 'The Golden Horde.'

I thought Amir "catch me if you" Khan would work too

Still, a great performance and he is going to do well.

I truly hope he doesn't end up getting signed by Warren.

I think the word itself says enough. Temujin proclaimed himself a Khan and there have not been many greater warriors than he.

Khan means leader or King.

I read a book about the Mongols and it made for fascinating reading.

They had the largest empire ever known at the time, and the largest ever assembled under one man's rule.

Were it not for the death of Genghis Khan, the whole of Europe may well have fallen to the Mongols, they devastated Russia, Poland and Hungary, and stood at the gates of venice when Genghis died, and the entire golden horde returned home.

The Mongols are also credited with totally altering the course of history by destroying the vast empires of the islamic states, and paving the way for the rise of christianity.

They mongols were also more than just the bloodthirsty warriors they are depicted as. They invented firearms, after taking gunpowder from the chinese and turning it into a weapon against them, the chinese used it only for fireworks.

They almost conquerered Japan too, but a massive storm wrecked their entire fleet killing tens of thousands of men. The Japanese called this a divine wind, and the term Kamikaze comes from this.

They were also far more astute than people give them credit for, Genghis, though illiterate, surrounded himself with the wiset and most erudite men from the lands he conquered, and if they surrendered, he would allow rulers to remain in power as part of his empire, and always allowed people to maintain their own customs, dress and religion.
