Will you be buying the Mayweather vs McGregor PPV?

Quite a simple poll - Will you be buying the PPV?

It is sure to be PPV here in the UK.

My thoughts -

The lead up and vocal sparring will be great to watch. McGregor will be a mad man and surely have the crowd in stitches - 'You'll do effing Nuthing!', 'Smash his malteaser looking head in' etc.

However, the 'fight' will be a painful watch IMO. McGregor swinging, Floyd making him look silly for the first few rounds, then a tiring McGregor looking bewildered in the second half of the fight.

Claims after - 'Come face me at my effing game! I've been in your sport, now come into mine' garbage after the UD. A total circus and a total con job for boxing fans. It's almost a WWE event...

Can you really see yourself shelling out for this on PPV? Add in the fact it'll be a 4am fight and filled with Mayweather fighters all 1-10 to win their bouts. I won't be spending a penny on it but will enjoy the build up.

Read everything you just said. Agree with pretty much all of it.

Still buying it. It appeals to me.

Also, for all Mayweather is probably the best boxer of my lifetime- certainly since I've been watching- I think he's a grade A spaniel sniffing tool, and if there's even a 1% chance of him getting humiliated in front of a world wide audience, then I want to be watching if it happens.

Not a fuckin chance I'm buying this gash. If it's on a channel I already have like BT, BN, normal Sky Sports then I'll record it and watch the following morning unless I'm up out my nut on drink and class A then I may watch it live.

The build up will no doubt have a few laughs but apart from that it just doesn't appeal to me in the slightest.

I wonder if Clev v Jack and Davis v TBA might be on the card? At least that will make it semi bearable. Still wouldn't force me to but it on PPV though.

Absolutely. Hopefully there's a decent British card that night, make a night of it.

I'll probably buy it out of morbid curiosity. It will be a good freakshow event.

August is usually grim over here for boxing isn't it? Kind of close season.

It definitely will be PPV by the way. Dana white was talking about it smashing the UK PPV record.

Nah, it's all fake isn't it? Mcgregor is just a willing stooge in the farce and getting well paid for it. I think it damages both boxing and mma personally but people can spend their hard earned as they wish. Hope they enjoy it if they do splash out.

I'm not planning on buying it, it will be $100 here. That being said I'm not very trustworthy when it comes to buying fights. I thought there was no way in hell I'd buy Canelo/Chavez until I was ordering hammered. Two things I disagree with, I don't think Conor goes the distance and I bet Floyd has decent fights on the undercard. He doesn't match his fighters soft.

I think Conor will end up showing a lot of heart but as someone else mentioned, he could very well end up being pulled out by his corner.

I'm caught up in the hype but the buck stops at the buildup, Mayweather will get his 50th win but not my money !

Whilst McGregor was definitely hurt in that fight- I actually think he was more gassed than hurt right at the end. You could see he was panting like a dog in the high of summer.

If your only going to buy it in the hope Floyd gets chinned (and optimists outside chance) then the KO will probably get shown on a news program or somewhere on the web.
Save your money for something decent like the next AJ or GGG fight

I'll buy it even though I expect the most boring 12 round decision win of Mayweather career as it's always possible that something exciting might happen. A little like Wlad v Fury, it was only boring in hindsight, watching it was live was exciting as everyone knew that Wlad might suddenly flatten Tyson.
I'll be avoiding as much of the build up as possible as I find it all tedious nonsense.

Already hearing the cliche that will probably be the most used in the hyperbole build up. "Anything can happen". -- utter tosh

No, I'm holding out for Real Madrid vs the All Blacks, hopefully Andy Murray vs Ronnie O'Sullivan will be on the undercard.

Those would be some good match ups to be fair.
