Emile Griffith was primarily a boxer... The guy who blitzed him in the 1st round -- Hurricane Carter -- was a pressure guy to a great extent.

Was just going to mention Qawi. LaMotta, and Tyson are a couple more. LeDoux and Cobb?

yeah,the both were kind of slow but they pressured as best they could I think.
maybe LeDoux stepped backed to look at his handiwork a number of times,but Cobb never did.

Great shout out. At junior featherweight he just got in your grill and took over. Boxed more as he moved up.

Ideally, if you're a pressure fighter, you have more than a chin.. You also have a big punch, and you're very durable in terms of conditioning -- not just having a great chin so that you can absorb forever.. And a little hand and foot speed would be ideal as well.. Mike Tyson was the prototype pressure fighter in terms of chin, durability, conditioning, strength, and speed..

Tyson had short arms which is a general characteristic of pressure fighters... Monzon and Zarate had very long arms and they could box well -- another attribute that pressure fighters generally don't have, but which really comes in handy... because there's always the guy like Foreman who is too big and strong to boss.

LaMotta, Cobb, and Chuvalo were what I would call punching bags -- more so than pressure fighters.. They could take a ton of punishment which also wears you out.. LaMotta absorbed ungodly amounts of punishment from Laurent Dauthuille and was certain to lose if the fight went another 13 seconds.. Dauthuille exhausted himself punching LaMotta in the head and tried his best to make the final bell, and was oooh so close.. But that only counts in horse shoes.

Whene I think of a "pressure" fighter"I usually remember back in the 1990's when TV used to still have Boxing shows on ESPN and the USA Network,they showed a number of fights with featherweight Troy Dorsey
I remember he was a really good if not excellent pressure fighter (especially at 5 ft 5" and a 66 inch reach).

Frazier...Qawi would seem to fit....and the worst one, Leon Spinks.....I really think that's what he thought he was....and he attempted to fit the mold. And nope...didn't work.

In between head butting, pushing, shoving and leveraging with his head, shoulders, forearms, elbows, and gloves... More a dirty fighter than a pressure guy... Henry didn't do that to guys like Beau Jack and Ray Robinson... And he stopped punching quite a bit in those fights.
