Now at the age of 45 Mock beat Luke Blackledge earlier tonight, his 9th straight win (others coming against a then 11-0 Alessandro Sinacore, Jorge Silva, 30-0 David Zegarra, Patrick Mendy, a 27-6-1 Derek Edwards)...was almost 14 years ago that he put David Haye on his ass...
...nice lil run by the old bloke!

Good for him! He should be calling out Haye

But in fairness he was one Haye 'pile-on' away from scoring a famous victory and a few extra quid in subsequent matches.

The stoppage Mock suffered against Haye was outrageous. He had Haye down heavily. Mock was merely knocked down and suffered the classic British referee wave-off-the-away-fighter "for his own safety" (wink wink).
He would have beaten Haye before Carl Thompson did.

Absolutely. Appalling hometown stoppage.

Noticed he was fighting Blackledge on the schedule the other night. Some going to be still fighting at his age and a decent level as well

The most British of stoppages against Haye. Ref should be ashamed of himself

Thanks for this thread
I saw he was fighting Luke but forgot to look for the result.
I love fighters like Mock.
And looking back at his career here's a couple of things....
Haye was the heaviest opponent Mock fought.
Haye was, and still is, the only person to 'stop' Mock.
The only other bloke he fought over 175 was Lasse Johansen who was knocked out by Haye in
his only loss.
Adam Booth & Steve Bunce look very young in this video

Personally I don't have a massive problem with the stoppage. It could have carried on but he was weaving about & I've seen a lot worse. The Groves stoppage in the first Froch fight was much, much worse. In my humble opinion.
