Ward is not even in the top 10.

It has been years since he had non tainted victory over anyone relevant to p4p discussion.

Andre Ward is the current pound-for-pound ruler. His reign won't last long though, because retirement beckons for the American (his career is almost certainly about to cross the finishing line in the near future).

It is likely that Lomachenko... or the possible winner of Golovkin-Canelo, will eventually ascend the pound-for-pound throne when Ward eventually abdicates his crown.

I'm NOT an Andre Ward fan but yes, he deserves to be #1 P4P. Not another boxer deserves it more so no argument from me.

If someone told you 2 years ago that Andre Ward would move up to light heavyweight and knockout the best of the division in Kovalev that has been knocking everyone out and one of the best LH's ever, what would you say? What Ward has done is pretty amazing actually.

He did not state facts, he stated an opinion.

The actual fact is that Ward has twice defeated Kovalev.

I would happily have him #1 if he stopped Kovalev legitimately. Depending on Team Kovalevs ability to fund a decent lawyer that fight could end up a NC. It certainly should be.
