I'd like to see Andre Ward sign-up with Showtime and unify all the titles against Adonis Stevenson.

The S.O.G. is a network free agent, so it could easily happen.

That situation would unfortunately leave the blatantly racist Sergey Kovalev out in the cold, due to HBO refusing to have his fights televised by a rival network.

Perhaps the Russian could make the jump to cruiserweight, since Kathy Duva had already previously ruled-out a third fight against Ward?

Kovalev 34 , already peaked, they probably try to squeeze a couple more million out of him, and he will retire.

on the other hand Depending how Kovalev holds up you may even see a third Ward-Kovalev fight if our palates are cleaned properly.

Only big money fight for Ward is if GGG beats Canelo and they fight other than that i guess it's wait and see..

Ward will give up the belts or retire. No way will he keep them to face Bivol, Gvozdyk, his mandatories. Maybe he will seek out the old Pimp, then retire. Either way good riddance.

Kovalev should move up. His stamina is so bad that he wouldn't last against Bivol, Gvozdyk, Beterbiev. His only shot is scoring an early KO against those type foes.

Kovalev has stamina issues but I don't think moving up is going to help him much.
At cruiser he won't be a devastating puncher and he's not a slick enough boxer to keep the bigger guys from walking him down.

Ward?
I doubt we see him in the ring again in 2017. Doesn't seem like there is much chance of a unification fight with Adonis. Ward won't let the sanctioning bodies dictate his career so I expect him to dump at least one belt. He'll sit out the balance of 2017 and around this time next year he will fight one of the guys that boxrec posters say he will never fight.
