If you turned pro tomorrow.....

First of all what weight would you slim down too and then who would you love to fight?
Imagine you had the best promotor who could arrange any fight in your division.....who would you fight and why?
For me I would train like a bastard and get down to 175 and fight RJJ just for the experience....or I could not train so hard and fight Johnny Nelson and cruiser.
Mind you I would probably take a push bike with me to catch the f*cker. Would love to dish some punishment on the great pretender oohh sorry I meant entertainer..!! my mistake.
What division would you realistically train for and who would you like to meet in the ring....
If you are already an amatuer boxer, tell us who you would fight now...

Super middle and and I would have to get Nige benn out of retirement, too reasons, one he is a hero of mine and secondly well you would have to have a right old tear up.
If you are gonna do it, you may as well do it properly.
having said that i would have to be in intensive care for about three weeks but hey this is all hypothetical.

I'd be a fat middleweight, fight Farnell for the vacant WBU fight TBA a couple of times and hopefully retire as undefeated champion of the world having made millions fighting sell outs in my local Stevenage

I would sign with Barry Hearn if i had the choice of the British Promoters, i was 15 1/2 stone last year

But have slimmed down to 12 stone since, am aiming for 11 stone next and then finally 10 stone, so i would be a Light Welterweight

I suppose i would aim for the hitman, and with my poor stamina and glass jaw i would be quite high in the pecking order as well :P

15.stone to ten are you taking the piss?
kinell you must have like da pie and a pint mate, sorry dont mean to be rude but ....i reckon im about a stone or so hefty at present at 13.7 im just under six foot so nothing a bit more excercise and a bit less drinking cant sort out.

Are you serious, are you aiming for 10 stone from 15 1/2, bet there's not many pies in the shops near you mate!
I think Hearn is a good choice sunshine, however, I think allegedly's fighters are a lot better off, let's be honest, most professionals are going to want to make a lot of money, Calzaghe and Hatton have made more money than Brodie and Woods, even though they've never fought for a 'big 3 belt.'
As I have said before, I think fighters are the ones who decide what is most important from their career, money and fame, or titles and glory.

6-2, 13.8
And fit following 7 pre-season friendlies in 24 days.
I'd probably be muscled up to a proper Cruiserweight.
Cant see me making 175.
So I'd fight Carl Thompson, because he'd only need to hit me once and I could go home.

6'7" 265lbs (could/should get more trimmed but at the moment I satisfied with keeping the current weight, I lost 60 lbs and struckling just to stay at 265 (I would like to go down to 230 next summer.
I would like to fight Jeremy Williams because I just can not stand him

Yes, it's scary isn't it, when you look at Carl Thompson and Johnny Nelson, both fornicating enormous blokes, and you realise you would be facing them. How either man made the old cruiserweight limit is amazing, Nelson has got shoulders like an NFL Linebacker, though he has got skinny legs, and Thompson is just wide in every direction.
Nelson looks about 2 stone bigger than me in the flesh, so much broader. I mean I'm a little overweight, but not by that much, maybe 10 lbs, and when I went weight training I was 14 Stone +, without being fat, shows how much is down to genetics.
Thomas Hearns must be the freakiest though, getting that huge frame down to welterweight is nothing short of incredible, considering there wasn't a pick of fat on him even at cruiserweight.

6.0 and 12st 7lbs currently. Fit in mortal terms.
I'd go down to 12st and look for a fight with Graham Earl.

Flyweight!!!
I'd box
Delroy Spencer 6x3
Chris Edwards 6x3
Lee Haskins 10x3 (English title)
Then i'd move up to Superfly knockout Jason Booth and Damean Kelly in the same night!!! (wins IBO and defends IBO sucessfully)
Then i'd totally dominate Fail Robinson at bantam and KO him with 1 second left of the fight! For the Commonwealth belt (Vacant) then the BBBoC would give me the Lonsdale belt outright without defending it or winning it!!! Then i'd go 2 france kick that french ponce Ass-lums arse for 12 rounds and get a Draw after dropping him 18 times and breaking 4 ribs of his. Have a rewmatch spark him with a right uppercyut in the 8th whilre behind on points.
Then i'd retire unbeaten and EBU,Commonwelaht and British champion!!!
Comeback after 4 years and box for the WBC,IBF and WBA title against Jose Navarro at Super Bantam!! Stop him with a right- left combo to the body in the 6th defend my title 57 times and remain unbeaten then move up to Heavy knockout Klitschko for the WBUllshit title coz thats wat he'll have and retirwe the best fighter ever after Roy Jones Jr (wen he K.Os TaRVER)

No bullshit, i can send you some before and after photo's if you like on e mail, i am 5'8 and was a porker at around 15 1/2 stones so i exercised frantically and ate a load less and now i am just under 12 stone, it's taken around 14 months so far....10 stone for my height is a much healthier weight i think.

I've always been trying to but weight on ever since I started sport, I have an ectomorphic body type which means it lose weight easily but find it far harder to put on muscle. I'm 6' 3'' and currently weigh around 13st so I'm not small and I'm only 20 so haven't fully filled out yet, but i used to be around 11st at the same height and looked pretty skinny.
I've used many methods of putting weight on and i think it depends on your body type and what sort of training you are doing. You can by protein powders and weight gainers and i have found with these you very much get what you pay for, so get a good one. I think as a basic rule if you are doing a lot of weight training a whey protien powder is good because it will help ypou gain muscle rather than just bulk. If you are doing alot of CV exercise as well you may want to try a weight gainer which provides you with protein and some extra calories or you can do this by just eating more I have a friend who's a semi pro sportsman who eats 4000 calories a day just make sure it's pasta extra rather thn fat.

Eat Tuna, Chicken, Turkey, Fish, Lean beef, lots of steamed vegetables and drink plenty of fluids, and go to the gym and lift weights, unless you are a really severe ectomorph you will put on weight.
http://bodybuildingpro.com/bodytype.html
Gaining Muscle for the Hard Gainer!
In order to gain muscle, especially for those ectomorphs interested in taking up the sport of bodybuilding, the following should be observed:
(1) Work hard in the gym, with heavy weights and intense effort. Be consistent in your training, and ensure proper form in all of your weight training movements. Incorporate the basic compound movements, bench press, squat, and deadlift, into your routines. These exercises are very demanding but result in the greatest overall gains. Do to the extra amount of growth hormone released during these movements you will gain muscle in more than just the muscle groups focused on. Also include basic movements such as standing barbell curls (for biceps), and military press (for shoulders).
(2) Eat a sufficient amount of protein (1 to 1.5 grams per pound of body weight) to fill the demand for amino acids created by the training.
(3) Try to eat six small meals per day, one every two to three hours throughout the day. Try to keep calories directly from fat between 15 - 25 percent of this intake. If you go much over this amount, much of the weight you gain may be fat.
(4) Increasing overall caloric intake to a sufficient degree to support the demands of intense exercise, but not so much as to create an unwanted gain in body fat.
(5) Drink plenty of water. Water is one of many misunderstood necessities of muscle growth. Try to drink between three to four liters (1 gallon) per day. Be sure to bring a water bottle to the gym as well, as your body loses a lot more water during periods of intense exercise, and it is essential to replenish these stores.
(6) Keeping your aerobic training to a healthy minimum, no more than 30 minutes a day, 4 to 5 days a week. I would personally recommend even less for those of you trying to get past the stage of being skinny. I agree that your heart will thank you for any aerobic activity performed, but remember not to overdo it to the point that you are letting it hinder your muscle gains.
For the beginner, I would recommend the supplement regiment of creatine and glutamine, as well, to gain weight, you may benefit from supplementing with a weight gain powder. These high calorie shakes will allow you to consume far more calories without the discomfort of getting full too easily. A protein powder will benefit you as well, especially if you find it difficult or inconvenient to get the required amount of protein from your daily diet.
Related Supplements:
Weight Gain Powders
Creatine
Protein Powder
If you follow the simple rules above, you should find yourself gaining size and strength at a very good pace. If you are a beginner, a quick weight gain of 10 to 15 pounds in 12 weeks, or even as little as a month would be very possible. Remember, the amount of muscle mass and strength you gain from any workout program is based on your efforts in the gym, and with your diet. As the old saying goes, “You get out of it, only what you put into it”.
Best regards, and good luck with your training!

I'd say 11 would be healthy mate, Im guessing you arent of slight build naturally. I owuldnt go down to ten thats what I was like at 21 and Im guessing you arent 21 ?
Yeah age is the healthiest way to put on weight I would say.
I was 10.5 stone wet through at 19, I weighed more when I was playing rugby and training but packed that up at 19 after too many injuries, my weight by the time I was 23 probs clocked in at around 11.5 now at coming up 32 Im 13.7. withouth being exactly fat Im a bit hefty at present, 12.7 would be ideal, like I say more training and less piss i could get there.....its the willpwer plus my missus says Im perfect aaaah..lying cow!
