Let's be honest. Kovalev did not say anything when Tony Weeks wawed this fight off(he wanted it no more). He promised us "brutal beating" and very "tough" on press conferences.
He also said many times if Ward will be dirty that he will break his ribs and fight dirty too.
All what i saw was protesting like a soft girl.
The final shot was low blow probably but the other one were not.
He cried like soft baby.
That's not hate or trolling. But he promised us a baddas perfomance and that he will "kill" Andre Ward.
I expected much more from Sergei Kovalev after all this talk. It was fight of his life and he gassed out badly and got rocked by Andre Ward.

He is a strong puncher with low stamina. He really is not that good, he just has a lot of fanboys as evidenced on this forum.
Look at this boxrec, his biggest wins were against old men. Not saying thats entirely his fault as the division is nothing special, but hes just not as good as people thought. Whatever you think of him he is clearly not the complete package.
Your 100% the right, he tried to rob the referee and get a timeout when he first started complaining and then when the fight was stopped he said nothing. People want to focus on the final shot Ward threw, which because of Kovalev's bent over dont punch me anymore position, was borderline low, though there was nowhere else really for the shot to land. I have sen fighters turn their back because they don't want to hit be hit anymore, thats not the guy throwing the punches fault, you are supposed to be protecting yourself at all times.
People are completely ignoring Kova crying and complaining before because they favor him. It is that simple.
The UK commentators were spot on, if you think you have been hit low and the ref didn't give it, then you fire one lower to show the other guy if you do that to me again I am gonna do it back to you (even though thew first one was not low), he didn't, he folded and cried to referee.
What i thought was really bad, was his conduct after, his entire team were absolutely classless. He refused to credit ward as being a good fighter, called him 'Son of Judges' and said he was the dirtiest fighter he ever fought, then said he had beef with the referee. His trainer said if he could rob a a bank and get away with it he would (literally), nice, and Duva had a hissy fit at the people booing her when she basically said Ward didn't deserve to win.
My thought is that he bought into the fanboys last time round crying robbery for what was an extremely close hard to call fight that was a point either way however you saw it. he believed them and thought he could just blow Ward out early and ended up blowing himself out and then folding to Wards body work. He threw 180 more punches then Ward and missed all 90% of those, thats a lot of air to be hitting. I think Ward on the other hand was the professional as always and looked focused and respectful. he had a solid game play to abuse Kovalevs stamina weakness by going to the body and it totally paid off. He was on course for a KO if the ref didn't stop it.
So yeah, Kova shows weaknesses and clearly wasn't as hungry or prepared as Ward.
