• Canelo: supplies a long-winded explanation in Spanish
• Billy Joe Saunders: [To Canelo] “I’ll translate that! ‘I shít myself!’”


• Billy Joe Saunders: [To Golovkin] “Yes well, I’m very interested in that fight, I’d love the fight. My bit was signed to fight you, but for some reason you lost your pen… so hopefully if Canelo fights you and I think that he’ll beat you… I’m hoping to fight you or Canelo in America.”

Billy Joe and Fwank Warren had previously claimed that GGG had “lost his pen”, due to his greater desire to earn a massive payday against Canelo rather than to fulfilling his lifelong ambition of unifying all the middleweight titles, with Saunders even publishing Tom Loeffler’s text messages to explain the delay in getting the contract signed.

So what interests me, is the fact that Tom Loeffler declined to challenge Saunders’ assertions for Golovkin “losing his pen.”

The Brit is clearly looking to talk himself into a mega-money marquee bout against Canelo & Golovkin… and he’s doing so in a Tyson Fury-esque manner!

Thoughts?

Pretty ridiculous really. I don't know why he was allowed to ask a question as it was pretty pointless to be honest.

It's not exactly Shannon Briggs level or David haye at Vitali vs chisora level crashing. He swore and pretty much got told to take it easy and he did.

I'm kinda glad he's trying to talk himself into a fight as he badly needs a opponent of a good level as his career is stagnated a lot since beating Andy Lee.

Unfortunately for him both those guys beat him and stop him.

It wasn't bad. It was just pointless. Danny Jacobs has been calling him out and both Warren and BJS aren't interested. A big reason for him not wanting big fights is because he either doesn't want them or he says he wants them when the other guy is already booked up. Golovkin showed interest ages ago and Saunders turned the fight down saying he wasn't ready. He's now ready when GGG is signed up for his biggest payday.

Basically it wasn't funny enough. Bill Joe is funny, I thought he could have tried more, made more of a scene. It was so stiff and awkward in the rooom, not one laugh.

In terms of this fight, will it be delayed? Millions of dollars on the line and I appreciate it's a Mexican public holiday but if Mayweather/McGregor is boring/a dissapointment what happens? Surely Cotto's fight will be delayed somehow. Surely.

If Saunders got in shape I think he could give either of them a good fight. I don't think he'd win, but I think he could make it competitive.
