Box-Nation were supposed to launch their PPV platform for the Fury-Klitschko II..

The way it will work, if I remember correctly. If you already have BN subscription, which I believe is in the region of £12, then you have the fight.. However, If not, you can order just the fight.. I think the last time they mentioned it, it was going to be £19.95.. I've not read up on it recently..

Any thoughts from our UK fans in regards to this?

As an existing BN subscriber, my only question is whether I'll now be able to watch the fight in HD on Virgin (as stupid rubbish Virgin doesn't carry the regular BN channel in HD).

So what about people who have allegedly cos of a BT Sport Subcription on Sky?

I'm in the same boat as you. It's all so bloody confusing. Will BT Sport be showing this simultaneously with BN as they've done with other big shows or is it just on some new BN PPV Channel ?

Its such a big fight I can't see BT Sports not wanting to be broadcasting it.

I don't think it's a brand new channel.. but it was first announced before the BN and BT started working together.. we'll definately hear more soon.. i always keep an eye out for listings, so i'll update you guys as much as I can on here.

In many ways it makes sense for a broadcaster like BN to have fights on PPV. Will anyone beyond the hardest of hardcore spend £144 for BN coverage? No. But will they chuck twenty quid at a one off superfight? More likely.

Problem is they can't do it with domestic fights because they don't sell, or in the case of the biggest BN associated fighters, if they hit their domestic jackpot fight then it'll probably be on Sky anyway. Joshua Fury is only ever going to be on Box Office, Fury Klitschko was on Box Office, Flanagan Crolla would be a Sky fight in the same way Frampton Quigg was.

When I couldn't afford a Sky subscription, (this was pre BN - but either way, if it wasn't I wouldn't have had that either), I could still afford a PPV with my mates.

you get a hell of a lot of boxing for 12 quid a month, i wouldnt be without it

to be fair i don't have a sky subscription .i do have eurosport for the bike racing and i get bt sports as part of the virgin package.

Yup. I agree. No word of anything changing that statement as of yet.

I'll be interesting to see how Warren plays this.

He could show it on normal allegedly at no extra cost for either pure allegedly subscribers or for BT sports package customers (which I am) and that will mean several million sports fans will be able to watch at no additional charge. It would be unlikely that the incremental revenue would surpass the cost of the broadcast.

Or he could go against everything he's said in the past and charge subscribers a surplus which would make him money but piss off subscribers.

I'm surprised they didn't position it as BT winning the rights and put it on a 'BT PPV' channel so they could bypass the allegedly issue.
