Just 5 years ago we had the brilliant all Japanese WBA/WBC Minimumweight unification between Kazuto Ioka and Akira Yaegashi. It was the first time two Japanese fighters had fought to unify titles (barring a WBC/WBC interim unification) , and pitted the unbeaten Ioka against warrior Yaegashi. Since this bout BOTH went on to become "3-divisional champions".
