Does anybody know if Garry Delaney has been released from prison yet? I seen a post Kevin Mitchell put up on twitter last week and it looked like he was standing next to Delaney with a massive beard.

He was sent down for a minimum 11 years, 11 years ago....

I saw a Facebook photo of Delaney on Facebook. He was bald, wearing round sunglasses I think and an enormous ginger beard.

Eccentric would be a polite way to describe his look.

He could be on day release. Highly unusual to get out on the dot of your tariff. Model prisoners find it harder, as stupid as it seems.

He's been out and about a while. He got 11 years minus 300 odd he did on remand.

A straight release or bail hostel? My mate has just done longer on an IPP for a lot less of an offence. Has to live in a bail hostel, attending meetings with probation, police, psychologists every week etc. He never killed anyone either. He's a MAPPA offender though, Gary may just be down as a guy who made a mistake. My pal owns a big business and lives in about two miles from the bail place. It's stupid. He goes in at 11pm and leaves at 7am like he has to, on the dot. He'd be gutted if he slept in until ten past. Wouldn't dream of eating there, either.

I don 't know mate and didn't ask. It was in the afternoon when I saw him, not that it helps much.

I haven't seen him at any shows or anything like that I've worked but it might be he just doesn't want to bother at the moment. I wouldn't have recognised him. He looks different to say the least.

He was a heavyweight boxer throwing a full-blooded uppercut at a defenceless civilian half his size. What did he expect would be the outcome?

The incident can't be taken as a one off. The history he had of beating the crap out of Jodie Marsh shows that he is a bully. The issue with the guy he killed wasn't him being ejected from the building, it was the fact he went so over the top on him (so over to top it was murder, not manslaughter). From what I remember he picked up one lad and dropped him in a bush When his mate asked why he had done that, he smacked him and he ended up dead. It is a pattern of behaviour where he liked to be the big man.

You would hope he is reformed after his stretch.
