I think the video really shows Kovalev was being affected by legal shots most of the fight. The two body punches he was hit with earlier in round 8 were both legal. If Ward was this all time dirty fighter, why wouldn't he his a defenseless Kovalev he was in no position to fight back? I think one punch in the last 3 qualified to really be called low. Kovalev did himself injustice by reacting to legal body work the whole fight as if it was low. When he did get hot low, he cried wolf too many times before.

Kovalev was a shot fighter at the time of the stoppage. If they let the fight go on, I would have preferred a clean ending, but majority of people here would have still complained. They would still say the mystery 40,000 low blows are what did him in. Ward should have been DQ'd, etc. It's a shame Ward won't get credit for this big win.

I'm still a fan of Kovalev, but I wonder where he goes from here. The bully image has taken a dent after this one. He looks vulnerable to the body. He's not invincible anymore.

Most of the evidence around this fight his removed from youtube already, since we all know that all reality shouldn't be spreaded on youtube. This is like another Tesla car making an accident, they get removed from youtube as fast as possible, for whatever reason.

The best video proving a "legality" of Ward's shots is an inexisting one

I Thought Ward would win it. Most of what he does is legal. Don't understand why he had to resort to illegal tactics when he could have won this one without it. Would have made the backlash of him winning a lot easier on him.
