One of the most controversial fights in recent years, not to mention one of the biggest, not even a week ago and Mod Anton decides there's been enough debate so he's locked it

WTFs going on? I can understand if it had turned into a hate filled thread with people spouting bile and slandering etc but from what I read it was a perfectly good thread with plenty to debate yet Anton's locked it fir no reason whatsoever other than he's read enough, well sorry Anton but if you've read enough, stop clicking on it and allow other people to decide when the threads had its day, effing millions of threads on other topics that are about the same shite but you'll allow them ay

Ive never had a single problem with mods since ive been a memeber and I didn't have anything particular to add the thread but that's utter bollocks, pish

Our thread was started on 12th June - I'd wager the open threads were mostly started after that. I'd therefore very much appreciate an explanation as to the rationale for the following:

Why has the only thread on this fight on the B&I board been locked?
Why are we not allowed to maintain a thread on the fight on the B&I board, and being directed to CS instead?
Why are multiple threads allowed to be started and kept open for various other fights, but not Ward-Kovalev II?

There are tons of B&I participants who do not frequent CS, and vice versa. I am not lobbying for another thread on the subject because I need to post on it. It makes all the sense in the world that B&I would have its own thread on the subject. It does on most other major subjects.

Any chance you could disable the changing thread titles option? Very annoying when a poster changes the title of an old thread and you click it and have to trawl through all the old posts to get to the new ones.

There's an arrow icon next to the title. If you click on that it will take you to latest unread post in the topic.

This is a case of someone misunderstanding the role of moderator.

They are there to make sure that no-one is calling Ward the N word, or abusing other posters. Just because the mod is bored of the topic, it is not his business to stop it unless the abuse has got to the point of no return.

The annoying thing is, those sort of things actually do happen regularly on CS & OT, but no action is ever taken by mods. If they want to let such things go then fair enough, we're all adults and should be able to look after ourselves. Just don't take a laissez-faire attitude to trolling and abuse, and then start locking the few threads where boxing is actually being discussed!
