Who would've won?
When was RJJ in prime ?PsychoGamerTwo wrote:Who would've won?
Just imagine we've build a time machine, and we merge 1998 (Griffin/Hill) with 2013 (Cleverly/Sillakh).ValMar wrote:When was RJJ in prime ?PsychoGamerTwo wrote:Who would've won?

*Prime* RJJ, the question said.Kalan wrote:Michael Spinks would have kicked Roy's butt to the moon at Light Heavyweight... Antonio Tarver and Glen Johnson were both OLDER than Roy... But they FLATTENED him.. It's a little bit like Manny Pacquiao.. Pac looks good until somebody hits him on the chin and knocks him into the next time zone.
Age and peak are relative to individuals. Fighter A at 35 years isn't necessarily closer to his peak than fighter B at 37 years.Kalan wrote:Michael Spinks would have kicked Roy's butt to the moon at Light Heavyweight... Spinks (version 1985) vs Jones (version 2002) would be unpredictable....Hell of the match.......Ossyrules wrote:Age and peak are relative to individuals. However I agree Spinks would be favourite vs Roy at 175
I do give spinks the edge at 175ValMar wrote:Spinks (version 1985) vs Jones (version 2002) would be unpredictable....Hell of the match.......Ossyrules wrote:Age and peak are relative to individuals. Spinks (version 1985) vs Calzaghe (version 2008) would be the best one at LHW......
You don't count the Roy fight !? Roy is older only 3 years than Calzaghe, and it was a genuine "toy with Roy" by JC......Ossyrules wrote:I do give spinks the edge at 175ValMar wrote:Spinks (version 1985) vs Jones (version 2002) would be unpredictable....Hell of the match.......Ossyrules wrote:

Roy at 160-168 is more formidable imo. He wasn't a big 175 but at 160 he could give 99% of opposition all they could handle.
Calzaghes a great opponent but realistically only 1 win (I don't count the Roy fight) over an old but still quality hopkins at 175 makes it hard to discuss him properly at that weight imo
