I personally don't agree since Flores faked being KOed (shut down) and falling down while moving the legs and head on the ground since while 99% KOed boxers fall instantly and doesn't fake standing few half second and falling to the ground moving himself head, legs, blinking and moving eyes like Flores did ... I also heard Malinagi saying something about it, just search for him saying it... .l.
A remach will be nice but let's w8 if Loma-Rigo superfight will close deal.

It's fair to change the result, because it was after the bell and also unintentional. However. Flores is a fake. He didn't need the acting.
So they should also take that into consideration.
Keep it as a KO win and order a rematch for Rigo can deal with him properly.

Yes, easily the right call for me.

In my books, Rigondeaux KOs Flores and Uzcategui KOs Dirrell. In boxing, there are far worse things than punch 0.5 sec after bell and no commision cares about that.

The first right decision in the history of NSAC and it came on Rigos expense. If this is not hilarious I dont know what is.

One last comment on this fight. I have no issue with it being changed to a No Contest because that's the right call, but I will say this.
In the last month or so I've seen this happen twice in Boxing. Boxers (Flores and Dirrell) get dropped by a shot after the bell, in the case of Dirrell he was legitimately dropped, knew he could get out of the fight by acting his way out of the fight and did so.
Flores was hit...wouldn't have even went down if not for the fact that he made a conscience decision to fall down and try to milk a DQ win out of the situation.
I said that to say this...I watched an old Kickboxing event last night. Andy Hug got dropped HARD with a right hand after the bell in his fight with Sam Greco...you know what he did? He just stood right up and walked to his corner and carried on with the fight as if nothing happened.
I respect the sh*t out of Andy Hug and admire him greatly because that's how a REAL fighter handles it.
Dirrell and Flores...f*ck those pathetic little p*ssies. I'll be rooting for them to get their faces broken every time they fight for the rest of their careers.

I am ok with a NC ruling if a rematch is ordered to avoid scamming a way to a victory. Uzcategui will get his revenge.

I don't wanna see Rigo vs Flores again. Flores and his flopping ass doesn't deserve another world title shot until he can show he can actually beat credible contenders and behave like a fighter in fights with guys like that.

Agreed, no interest. Doubt it would be televised anyway.

Pretty sure no one outside of Namibia saw him fight Ambunda. Been looking for that fight for a while.

No I dont agree with the decision.
Only a few weeks ago Jose Uzcategui was DQ'd for doing literally the exact same thing. There is a huge difference between a no contest and a disqualification. The latter implies that there was a perpetrator and victim, the former implies an innocent misunderstanding.
Perhaps now it would seem Jose Uzcategui has a strong case for a NC in his fight VS Dirrell.
It is noteworthy to point out that in both cases, the black boxer has benefitted from the corrupt officiating. This would imply a racial bias in the officiating of the sport.
Two exact same situations. Two different rulings. This sport has no credibility or consistency.
Another sh1tty blown call in this WWE entertainment pretending to be boxing.

Sensible argument, I agree.

How can anybody take this sport seriously as a legitimate sport when 2 fights with the exact same endings can have different officiated outcomes? Both fights were KOs after the bell, within 1 second of the bell, yet one is somehow a DQ and the other a NC. Zero consistency in that decision. And in both cases there seemed to be a pro Black bias where a decision was made to benefit always the black boxer.

Now if only they would change Ward vs. Kovalev II to a no contest. I know that's not going to happen.

Where's the cover my eyes emoticon? He wants us to boycott boxing. He claims it is not a sport. Claims he does not watch it but is discussing fights he allegedly did not watch.
Wtf are you doing here except trolling for dudes, TML?

It doesn't make sense to me to change it when both fighters threw punches after the bell.
