Frank Buglioni vs Ricky Summers

Buglioni makes the 1st defence of his British LHW title against the unbeaten Summers this weekend, ive heard of Summers but I'm not sure if ive seen him before, I was just looking through his record there, unbeaten in 13 but only fought 1 guy with a winning record and that was 4-2, big step up here and i'd imagine he's been throwing in too deep, Buglioni is a hard night work for most people, especially guys who he's better than, I can see him beating Summers up and showing him the levels, Buglioni does love a tear up and his defence still needs working on and i'd imagine Summers wont have a problem landing early as Frank's always been tagged no matter who he's fought

I reckon Buglioni will break him down though by the middle rounds, he always throws bombs from the 1st bell and as time goes on I imagine Summers will struggle to get out of the way, its always hard to make a prediction when you haven't seen 1 of the boxers on show and I'm not being disrespectful but Summers record so far is pretty poor going into a British title fight, Buglioni has been there plenty, he wins this for me, I just hope Summers makes a fight of it, which usually happens when Buglioni fights

I know Ricky. His a sound lad and it's a massive step up. Cant blame him for taking the fight his struggled to get matched for midlands title and was hoping for a English title shot. His put a lot of miles in all over the Britain to get top sparring in preparation for this fight. Clevery burton Johnson as well as the local lads. Good luck to him.

My money's on Buglioni points.

Huge step up for Summers and I'm not convinced with Franks power at the weight.

Will be a good fight though. Buglioni doesn't do snoozers.

Awful card on paper perhaps the worst since the old Friday Night Fights. Glad I cancelled Sky Sports.

See Buglioni dragging Summers into his kind of fight and stopping him mid rounds. Too big a jump for Summers he's not even fought at area level (or anyone with a winning record for that matter)

I agree with this. Tho he did box a lad 4-2 But his lost about 12 on the trot now. I've had a few txt asking if they should lamp on summers as u can get 10-1 on him. Said his worth a tenner but nothing more.

Right, I'm going to this and was wondering what people's thoughts are this weekend?

Ted Cheeseman? Will he beat Ryan? I've seen TC a couple of times and he should see off Ryan late.

Lawrence's first round run will come to an end - I think he'll see of Henshaw in around 2 or 3

Conor Benn has promised more boxing and Little looks quite durable and this could well go the 6 rounds.....

Reece B should see off Speight within 5 rounds whilst Isaac's isn't exactly a KO artist. I expect this to be a points win. He looks quite small for a cruiserweight.

Also, Frank B will drill Summers and this won't go past 4 rounds!

Eddie said Jamie Cox is making an appearance as he prepares for the WBS?

Anyone got any thoughts on the above...Any insider info?

I pretty much agree with you.

I think Buglioni v Summers will go further than 4.

I'm interested in seeing Benn v Little, I think we will see a different version of Benn, I reckon he will box much better than he has shown, but when needed he will put it on his opponents like he has. I wonder if he has the same attacking mentality. I still think Benn will get it done inside the distance. Cheeseman stopped Little in 5 before, heard that Cheeseman and Benn have been sparing quite a bit recently as well.

I'd favour Cheeseman to get the KO against Ryan. Although Ryan has never been stopped before, I think Ted will want to put in an impressive performance.

Presumably they will just find an even later replacement, saw Benn weighed in but no one listed to fight him at present.

Mike Cole is the man chosen for Conor Benn at late notice.

How tall is Joshua B? Boxrec lists him as 5'9 or something whilst Mena is 6'1 yet during the weigh in he towers over him?!

Just checked out the card. I know Frank sells tickets, but my days this card looks abysmal, little better than a next generation jobby hearn puts on.

How many tickets are they expecting to sell?!

Simply a case of they had the date booked, a proper main event didn't materialise but they needed to get these guys out so stuck with it. Hearn will lose money on the show but i'm sure he can afford it!

Good stoppage by the ref. Speight was getting steadily beaten up. Bellotti had won every round.
