Is Miller gonna weigh in 290 pounds again..

Goid fight. Glad they've both took on the challenge.

Washington on points if he stays disciplined... He had to learn something about defense in his last fight.. Sometimes it takes getting stopped to learn what you're doing if you don't have a real good coach who knows what he's doing.. You mull what happened through your mind about 100 times until a solution occurs to you that works better than your present defensive technique.. It's not the best solution and it's better to learn it the right way than the hard way -- but any improvement is worth it.

Age might factor in because Washington is 35 while Miller is young and fresh.. This will tell us how much time GW has to make it.

I like this matchup. Washington is big, tall and chiseled with poor stamina.

Miller is big, fat and powerful...probably doesn't have good stamina either.

Miller seems to hit harder, Washington is rangier

Interesting match here.

Well, it wasn't really like Washington was stopped, but he did get knocked down, I was surprised the fight was stopped actually.

I'd like to see this fight, it finally gives Miller the chance to prove himself at C level competition.

Hmmm... Probably B-level... If you get a Title Fight or you're being contemplated for a Title Fight you're generally at least at B-level.

These guys have been working at it for years and have escaped losses so far -- cept for the Wilder fight... But getting to A from B is by far the toughest move.

I don't follow him but he seems to get bigger every fight.

300+lbs incoming.

Seriously though I wish more fights like this happened.

Well, he played a draw against a 43 year old 6ft1 Mansour, and many people said he should have lost it.
I'll give Wilder his credits, but let's be honest, and he is getting better, but it's not like Washington is a real top 25 of the world, despite his ranking.
This is about his limit, while many people far below his ranking have much more potential.

I remember that Mansour also had a car accident just before a fight, but I'm just not sure any more if it was just before the Washington fight, or just before the Breazeale fight.

Like when Whyte was supposed to fight Wach. Was looking forward to it.. even Chisora/Helenius II .. its a shame when fights get cancelled.

Helenius' fights get cancelled or have an opponent change basically every time these days.

Everybody has their own idea of who should be ranked and who shouldn't be -- and who is overrated or underrated.. I view GW as top 15..

What Mansour has done is phenomenal, but obviously the age factor is killing him and will kill him.. It will finish him off.. With Washington and Miller it's unclear how they're going to come out.. But obviously Washington has a more limited time frame to accomplish something.. The urgency factor is starting to sound alarm bells with him -- so he needs to keep this one out of the L column at any cost.

Mansour is a decent fighter, not top class but respectable, despite his size and age. He beat the sh!t out of Breazeale.

Yea, he had to, because he had to KO him as fast as possible because he bit in his tongue and knew he couldn't continue much longer.

I think Miller is very overrated, and Washington used to be pretty overrated. Nevertheless, I'm fine with this fight. There is not a huge gap between them, and this will give us some clarity with regard to how good Miller might be. Even better is the fact that Washington has the chance of putting Miller's nuthuggers in their place. Bring this fight on, right away.

True dat.

I think it's a very interesting match. There's more at stake for Miller because we roughly know Washington's level (and by level I don't mean horizontal, although he was pretty level once Wilder landed that right hand  ). We'll have a much better idea about Miller after this fight.

I'm gonna go with a Miller win purely because he's an unknown quantity, and he seems to have that arrogance that you need to get to the top, or should we just call it self-belief? Washington seems to me to be much more of a 'just happy to be here' kind of guy. Before anybody cites Joshua as having a humble nice guy persona, he genuinely is a nice guy but he still has that steely winner's mentality kept under wraps, Klitschko too. Washington doesn't ,,, or so it seems to me from distance.

Washington is a gym rat that has been improving steadily over the last few years. He won rounds before getting caught against Wilder. Miller will be facing the best version of him.

I've seen Miller fight multiple times. He is not hard to hit and slows down after three rounds. Miller also seems to blow up to way over 300 pounds between fights when he is inactive.

I think Babyfat Miller will have a heart attack at about round 11 or 12.

Miller is supposed to be a professional athlete, he's only 6'4" and for him to be coming into a lot of fights north of 20 stone is an absolute disgrace. Too many heavyweights take the name of the division as a challenge...
