How can they both get a licence to fight? Australia?
Benn is 53?
Where does the money come from for it?
Probably take place in Oz then?

Watched this the other day, who is actually going to allow these 2 old men a licence it's madness, and where's the money coming from, it won't happen I'm convinced

I'm not in the least interested. I don't think it will happen either. Great fighters in their day though, both of them.

It's amazing that after over twenty years, these guys aren't at peace with themselves.
I could understand, 1, 2, maybe even 5 years, but 21 years?
Ultimately it's up to them how they conduct their lives, but I certainly have no interest in watching two rickety old men who were in their primes 25 years ago trying to reignite a long dead rivalry.

You don't need a license to fight.
Two consenting adults in a boxing ring. Not a problem.
White collar do unlicensed all the time.

Presumably both are skint. All a bit sad really IMO.

Indeed. I imagine that out of the British SMW champions Froch is the only one who is sensible with his dough and has no divorce/out of wedlocked kids to contend with. Though I bet Woodhall has been prudent with his ring earnings too. He just looks the type.

He definitely does
I was under the impression that Benn had invested well though. And Collins has hardly been living a Hayeboy lifestyle.
I doubt if either are broke but who wouldn't turn down a couple of million quid?

Every time Benn comes back for his sons fights he's working pretty much constantly. I doubt he's skint, he's getting a few grand most nights.

Collins gets less than half that Benn does on the after dinner circuit.

You should see Wharton's house. Unless you meant world champs. He can be frugal, though!

I did, but I'm intrigued. Tell us more!

Just saying, he's not skint, and it's a pretty impressive house built totally with ring earnings. He probably got a lot more than most non world champs, though.

Apart from divorce and a small interest in Charlie, I'm sure that Calzaghe isn't faring too badly.

Nah, you cant compare Calzaghe to Woodhall when it comes to who looks the most prudent.
Calzaghe looks a bit daft and the type who would be off his head and give some random bullshitter loads of dough for some stupid business idea (and I bet his missus rinsed him as well).

Based on not a lot, I reckon that Calzaghe has spunked a lot of his moolah. And not just on acting lessons and his short lived promotional career.

Yeah maybe you're right.
I know that Froch is super tight, Er I mean frugal - I remember being told by someone who interviewed him said that he collected every coupon he could to save money and was obsessed with groupon.

Exactly.
He claims to be at peace with himself, yet he is claiming he needs closure, after TWO DECADES!
Even more laughably, he claims to be fitter now, at 106 years old, than when he fought McCllelan as a 31 year old!
I love Benn, but somenone needs to have a word with him.
