Billy Joe Saunders discussing title unification against GGG or Canelo

"Exclusive: Billy Joe Saunders talks GGG v Canelo presser, prospects of unification with Sept 16 winner"
The fight will take place in Las Vegas on September 16 with all almost all of the middleweight world title marbles on the line.
“Boxing’s a funny business and I think they’re looking at me thinking, ‘if BJS turns up then it’s going to be a struggle for us. If he shows his full potential then it’s too much of a risk to take before this big fight.’
"You have to put business into perspective, but I have the missing jigsaw piece (the belt) to the puzzle. I agreed to all GGG and Canelo’s terms and neither fight happened," he revealed.
The 27-year-old meanwhile, isn’t optimistic of a unification showdown with the winner of Alvarez and Golovkin.
“I’m not holding my breath, there’s rematch clauses - this, that and the other, so I’m just going to concentrate on my job because every time I wait around for other people, I take my eye off the game.
“I am more interested in what they’re doing than what I’m doing, so I’m just going to crack away and do my thing.
"I have to look good in my performances and hopefully they come back and say, ‘look let’s get it on.’ I don’t have any problems on either one who it is,” he added.
My personal opinion: There’s truth in some of Saunders’ words, because Queensberry Promotions attempted to make fights with GGG and Canelo, with GBP and K2 taking their fighters in different directions (not vice versa).
It seemed to me that Golovkin either “lost his pen” or refused to sign the contract for the Saunders fight (even though all the terms were agreed and the Brit had already signed the paperwork), because it would have represented an unacceptable risk to the Kazakh of losing the Canelo mega-payday.
