Wiki reckons Langford fought Wills 22 times but his boxrec record suggest otherwise.
Will, Langford, Mcvey, Jeanette, as well as a whole host of other prolific heavyweights around that time, continually met. There must be someone crossed sword close to the record number

It wasn't unusual for boxers to fight each other a ridiculous number of times near the turn of the 19th Century.
Going from the 1940's Ezzard Charles met Joey Maxim 5 X and beat him 5X... Archie Moore met Harold Johnson 5 X and beat him 4 X... Probably other boxers met more often than that since then. Pacquiao and Marquez met 4 times in this century. Today it's very unusual for boxers to rematch many times.

http://boxrec.com/media/index.php/Categ ... _200_bouts
This is a handy place to start, lots of UK fighters in the 30's with 100s of bouts, fighting nearly every week,
Len Wickwar was a busy boy

Don't forget Jim Barry, he never cared who was in the other corner. He opposed Sam Langford 12 times. matter of fact Barry also fought Joe Jeannette (3x), Sam McVey (3x), George Cole (2), Jack Blackburn (2), Battling Jim Johnson, Larry Temple, Jeff Clarke, Gunboat Smith, Billy Miske, Battling Levinsky, Luther McCarty. etc.. Barry was completely fearless and presumably crazy. He was murdered in the Panama Canal zone after roughing up his Heroin dealer and local bookie who asked Barry to pay up...c.h.
