I was watching some random videos earlier & saw this....

Only a father could think of this for a young kid (well, maybe not )

Anyway, there have been various examples of a father training a son. Who are the ones that stand out in your mind, whether they are great fighters or not?

The top two for me are the Calzaghe's & the Lomachenko's.

And knowing this site, there is no strict criteria I love how a simple question gets twisted but it just proves the level of knowledge & love of boxing this site has

The Inoue's? Shingo trains Naoya and Takuma, and his nephew Koki. One of the most under rated trainers on the planet right now

Everyone keeps saying that Lomas father trained him from childhood, if so I'd go with him, double Olympic gold, unreal amateurs record, done very well in pros so far in such quick time and he has some crazy skills. If he's always been his trainer I'd say it's best combination imo

Worst was Joe Frazier, threw poor Marvis in with Holmes then Tyson, lasting about 3 minutes total and won't remember much about either of them

Two weight world champion Darrin Van Horn was trained by his father.

For every exception, the rule decrees that father/son combinations in boxing is a disaster.

Woodhall (len and Richie)
Mayweather (Floyd and Floyd - though turbulent)
Porter (Shawn and father whose name I don't know)
Garcia (Danny and angel)

Juries out

Eubank (chris and chris)
Benn (Nigel and Conor - though possibly not classified due to nigels lack of involvement)

DeMarcus Corley is a bit of a pudendum to his son.

Romeo Romeao's dad is fornicating strange too. No xmas for that kid. A swim in the sea at Barry Island and then a morning of having your legs whacked with sticks.

Steve Goodwin giving his boy and girl 50 Essex ticket sellers to match on a show is a bit of a pudenda trick too.

Calzaghe and son worked well.

The Hattons fell out and the police got involved.
