Berchelt makes the 1st defence of his WBC Super Featherweight title against former holder Muira in what can only be a ding dong slugfest, from the fights ive seen of both men, they love a tear up, I thought Berchelt was excellent in stopping Vargas in an epic fight last time out, he's a banger with a terrific engine, his only loss was a 1 round KO early on in his career but he showed in the Vargas fight that it doesn't necessary mean he has a bad chin, I assume he was caught cold early doors

Muira is another one who just loves to have a tear up and has no quit or fatigue in him either it seems, he had a FOTY with Vargas himself when he lost the title and his fight with Roman last time on the Berchelt/Vargas card was incredible as well

For me this fight is impossible to not impress, I think it will a carbon copy of the fights ive mentioned above, it'll be war with both guys having success and hurting the other, it can go 12 rounds or it could stop around about the 10-12 mark with one of them absolutely shattered and beat up, I have to go with Berchelt to come out on top in a humdinger of a fight

Pretty much anything can happen in this one, with the exception of a stinker. I agree with the Berchelt by late stoppage calls, but that is just a lean. The opposite is very possible.

Miura Vs Thompson was another FOTY candidate, back in 2013. Amazing fight!

Miura's fights with Yuseke Kobori & the pair with Yoshimitsu Yashiro were outstanding battles, too.

Yeah he's been in a few cracking fights. The Anoos fight showed the game plan to beat him without losing too many brain cells

Dominant showing from Berchelt I had it 120-108, I gave Miura a share of the 2nd and that was it, he had some success with the left hand but it was really all Berchelt for 12 rounds, he picked Miura off and landed some solid lead right hands which worked well against the southpaw Miura, Berchelt showing again that he's more than a brawler with a big shot, he never got flustered or allowed himself to be dragged into a shoot out, scored a nice knockdown in the 1st but never got carried away, Miura as game as ever stood up to some big shots to the head and body but never looked hurt or stunned, he's insanely durable but did look a bit flat and short on ideas, he wasn't as busy as we usually see him either, he's had a long career so might be best to get out now before the durability wanes as well

As for Berchelt , apart from Lomachenko there's no one he should fear in the division, this fight wasn't the war I predicted but it was still a great performance from Berchelt

I would take Gervonta Davies over Berchelt at this point.
