With Crawford, Lomachenko, and Pacquiao moving to ESPN. Kovalev and someone from Canelo/Golovkin losing. Mayweather retiring again, who's actually going to main event a ppv next year?

Andre Ward for sure. HBO uses every move in their playbook to promote him as their frontman. I swear they spent half the broadcast a couple days ago idolizing him. I'm not hating though, I loved both Kovalev fights. Excited to see Ward back. If he actually moves up to Heavyweight that'd be nuts

Canelo regardless of whether he loses in September or not will still be a PPV fighter.

GGG will be if he beats Canelo

Crawford when he moves up to Welterweight could possibly find himself in PPV fights.

Hopefully PPV's just go away altogether soon and all the big fights start being on ESPN or something. That'd be sweet.

I don't see it. Crawford did horrible PPV ratings, and HBO doesn't care to see him back from what I've read.

GGG *might* if he beats Canelo, but I think it's hard to tell. People think beating the PPV attraction makes you an automatic star, but I don't see how. You at least need a certain demographic behind you from the start. Pacquiao had an entire nation and De la Hoya had Mexicans. Mayweather is the weird one of the bunch, though, but his trash talk is what sells him.

There will have to be more PPV's before there can be less. The fighters are so overpaid for what they actually bring to the table.

Internationally next year I can only see Joshua and Canelo if they don't lose this year as being PPV.
Some local fighters may command PPV in their country of origin, buy only those two could be world wide PPV.
Joseph Parker Vs Kali Mehan was PPV in New Zealand and people bought it, whereas I and most of you probably would not have even bothered to watch it if it was free

Would Haymon really put his guys on PPV?

I think Mikey is still a free agent; although, I've not read up on his dealings since he's returned.

Explain? Why do you believe these fighters to be on PPV?
