September the 9th in Paisley. Might try and go along to this if the undercard is up to much.

Thought Brawley retired years ago. He's still relatively young I suppose. Limond on the other hand should retire.

Haven't really heard anything from Brawley since he lost to Stuart Green I think it was? Think he has a good job away from the sport. He was at a show and the ring announcer had kind of blindsided him asking him if he'd consider fighting Limond and I think that's how that came about.

Limond should retire after this one. 38 now! Time flies! Met Willie a good few times as well. Always been sound.

it was stuart green . think it surprised a lot of people after brawley won that competition ,was it prize fighter ? they were both in though they never met in it. i won a few quid off green beating brawley as the only people that beat stuart were boxers with a decent dig on them that could keep him off them. brawley was a good technical boxer but he didn't have stuarts relentless pace and i fancied stuart would outwork him.

i used to love watching stuart sparring in the gym,it was usually with people a lot bigger than him.some of his spars were harder than a lot of his fights. decent lad as well.

will be interesting to see the outcome of brawley limond,should be a good watch .bound to be good local interest in the fight as well . never saw brawley live but went to a few shows limond (think he was top of the bill on at least one of them)was on and knowing how long ago that was i can't believe he is still going. always got the impression he was one of those lads that really looked after himself though ,so maybe i shouldn't be surprised.

I vaguely remember at the time of the Green fight a few folk tipping Green to beat Brawley. I didn't take any notice. I won a few quid on Brawley winning that Prizefighter he was in. Was a Thursday night I think.

Wouldn't be surprised either mate. Been talked about for a while up here so hopefully it'll go ahead. Could end up a decent technical battle. Neither guy a noted puncher. Hopefully it's Limonds last regardless of what happens.

Yeah he was to fight O Hara Davies on Ricky's undercard v Di Rocco but that was cancelled as well.

I forgot all about that. That would've been a painful night for Willie at this late stage in his career.

I was at his fight with Arthur years ago and remember being torn between em.

Limond has had some decent nights and I've always been a fan, but there seems very little point in him continuing on when his best days are long behind him. Inactivity - for whatever reasons - cost him a chunk of his prime which is a shame...

Could be a decent fight but I'm more agreeing with those who reckon limond should pack it in now

The Farooq v Allan rematch is scheduled for this card too. Should be a good night.
