I was going to post this the other day when I saw his post.
Too funny.

He's actually too conservative with Povetkin. Povetkin should be top 3, right under Klitschko and Joshua. Any other way is completely wrong.

I must be missing something. If Pov is in his top 10 p4p list, then that's strange. But, if he has Pov in his top 10 HW rankings, I don't see the issue there.

I don't see a lot of names outside the top ten boxrec giving POV a hard time.
Anyway gil's list is his list. A top ten is going to be very subjective. A top 5 would be a lot easier to agree on because the top 5 are fairly clear cut for now.

I like Gilgamesh he seems to know his stuff and is a sound enough guy but this is a strange choice. Suppose we all have guys who we've overrated or couldn't see past once upon a time.

He's top 5 at HW

The only issue should be whether you list guys who fail dope tests at all.
Otherwise Povetkin is a solid #5 to #7 ranked heavyweight

No way should guys like Parker and Pulev be higher.

Why are you making a thread attacking another persons top ten?

That seems shitty to me, why couldn't you just address it in whatever thread he posted it in if you have issues? Though I don't see what's insane about having Povetkin in a top ten, he's one of the most proven heavyweights out there, more so than some champions.

Gilgamesh made a joke a couple of days ago about all the separate threads about Povetkin ratings.
It was a joke. I'm sure bed find it funny too.
No one's attacking him he's a good guy

His latest test has been retested by an independant Swiss lab and his sample turned out to be clean, on top of that, the American lab who tested Povetkin is currently suspended by Wada because of all their mistakes.

He's a Top 10 ranked HEAVYWEIGHT...not even Top 5 there, and he wouldn't be anywhere near a noteworthy P4P ranking in my view.

I have 'em higher because they're not testing positive for PED's left and right. If Povetkin's career and possible matchups wasn't always so up in the air as a result of PED use he'd be ranked higher...he was prior to his suspension.

At his age now, and with the controversy surrounding him. I doubt he ever gets back in the mix with the top names again.

I agree, his career is likely finished, but in terms of who he's beaten, how he's beaten them etc. he's easilly top 10.

It is pretty hard to rank the HW's. Not enough fights between the top names.

I have Povetkin inside my top 5. Others are in no significant order Joshua, Wlad, Pulev and Parker.

Ortiz and Wilder are somewhere in the next tier. Followed by Browne, Ruiz and Hammer.

With the lack of significant fights ranking is mostly created by guess work anyway

The heavyweight division has sucked for years.

Why shouldn't AP be rated in the top 10? Are there so many talented fighters out there that he doesn't merit strong consideration?

Any guy who can eliminate the vastly over rated Mike Perez in mere seconds deserves some sort of recognition, PED use notwithstanding.

That's interesting asdfjkl... Could you please name the lab that VADA used that made so many "mistakes" that WADA suspended them????

Povetkin is certainly a top 3 HW. Name me a HW more proven outside of Wlad and Joshua.
