How is that good for Boxing? Shitty bullshit match up for paper title implications?

Well even though fight is probably a mismatch it means that the public will see Beterbiev and it means that there are two groups espn and top rank working on bringing big time fighting to the public for free.
There was even conjecture on other website I don't know true or not that Ward may go to top rank I don't know all the angles on it but it seems there is positive movement in the sport, like somebody half way cares about the sport demonstrated by this ESPN move.

That should be enough to get him into a certain GOAT crybaby's p4p top five.

Beterbiev isn't big time boxing. He does nothing and the ratings will show that.

The second straight post where "pathetic" is the only word that comes to mind. Fans have clearly had it with showcase fights. Clueless.

It would be good for boxing if Beterbiev were to move to Top Rank. He is not the kind to be content sitting around on his ass cherry picking bums like some chickenson.

Are you sure? He's been a pro for four years.

Yes and he must be raving mad realizing what mistake he made signing with Al.

We'll see, awful lot of nothing for him to have no part in it.

Too bad for him boxrec isn't the general public. With every month he doesn't fight the legend of beterbiev grows in stature.

Haymon's anti whiteness is showing ugly in how he is wasting a premier talent like Beterbiev. Should have matched Chickenson vs Beterbiev two yrs ago. But Chickenson is getting black privilege and protection.

He got good money thanks to the PBC for doing nothing. Good way to ruin fighters' incentive. Pretty sure around a million for a nothing fight. Absolutely crazy.

As I'm sure you know I'm having a go at a guy I rate. I just try to be consistent, as much as I hate ward; reading about him ducking a dude that has done nothing is annoying. Beterbiev really doesn't belong in the top 10 off of what he's done.

Yeah, and how soon people forget of Beterbiev's team fumbling the proposed matches against Kovalev and Barrera. But finally he at least is in the process of splitting with that garbage promotion. It's a start...

Yeah, Arum didn't surprise bid on a fight with two fighters he has no piece of by accident. At a minimum, we should get a marinating of Beterbiev/Gvodzyk.

This really doesn't do anything to build Beterbiev up for a "super fight" with Ward. It'll be like a half-super fight. Ward brings his half, with wins over Kessler, Abraham, Froch, Dawson, Barrera, Kovalev, etc. Beterbiev... he beat... I mean... Campillo? Really sad when Ward's 7th best win is better than Campillo's entire record. I would have preferred to see Beterbiev gets wins against opponents like Alvarez, Barrera, Gvozdyk, and/or Stevenson before the two of these fighters collided.
