:TU:

I think Broner's best performance was Allakhidaev(sp?). The only thing I would add is that while Broner is probably faster, Garcia's immense advantage in technique will probably cancel that out.

For me Demarco was probably his peak performance, but the one over Khabib was good two. Definitely the top two IMO...

Similar, I just never rated Demarco and thought Khabib had a chance.

I did too, I'd definitely rate Khabib as one of his finer performances certainly.

I did try to heavily imply that.

The reason I am picking Broner is that this fight is make or break for him. If he's at his best, it will be a great fight. So many think Garcia will ko him or best him easily. I don't see it. Broner has never lost at 140 or below.

You did forget to mention Broner's 6 baby mamas in the 'intangibles' section :shame:
I'm all about the baby mamas ;-)

Yeah.
I'm not sure about individual states in America but I do know some are very strict about child support (and so they should be) so a possible jail term is a good motivator.
I mean, the guy has 7 kids to 6 women. That has got to be a major drain. I really can see him broke 5 years after retirement.

And he'll deserve it too. He's an asshole who's flushed money down the toilet...literally. I feel no sympathy for any financial woes he'll ever have.

Solo mums need love too.

In the immortal words of Jaba the Hut;

Wow, 7 kids to 6 different women. Thats crazy, no even Carrie Fisher/Leia had that many kids after being tortured by Jabba. No wonder he's cracking, getting arrested and so on. Life, consequences and responsibility are probably hitting him hard. Can he pull it together to fight the best opponent of his career? I guess we'll find out. I'm betting not, that he will unravel in the later rounds but its a tough fight for both, styles make fights. Flat footed broner, trying to land big hooks. Garcia will prob dart around him. Might be a slow fight though. I want to see that Garcia jab dominate.

Broner's been losing his fights due to his low work rate and punch output. He has way too many lulls in 12 rounds in which he just accepts incoming shots in a shell on the ropes. That has everything to do with being in poor shape and his lack of conditioning. I really hope that his conditioning in this fight is half as good as he's been talking it up to be. I'd love to see him put his talent together just ONCE and l'd love for it to be Saturday against Garcia. The fight would be amazing.

Mikey Garcia was Chino Maidana's primary sparring partner for his fight with Broner so this is really his second training camp for Broner. That's a significant advantage to Garcia. But Broner has way more talent to tap into than Mikey does. Anything could happen.

.
You should try contemplating the possibility that conditioning isn't the only issue- REALLY badly conditioned fighters don't last 12 with Maidana on the rampage, IMO-
Part of the problem is his low boxing IQ and that he literally 'runs out of ideas', IMO

You could be right...you could be right... Broner knows more than I'll ever know about the game so i'll stay away from an opinion like that but he hasn't changed his camp or team much since turning pro. They are bunch of "yes" men. Remember when he got knocked down for the first time in the Maiden fight and he had to calm his people down in the corner between rounds? I bet at one point in his career before it's all over, he leaves his whole team for one of the big 3 trainers (i'm guess R. Garcia will be the one) and has a second career that will be successful. So you could have a good point here.

i could be wrong as well... its just that a lot of the breaks he takes in fights seem to me to be from having a lack of ideas, and needing to have the fight 'come to him' so to speak as he doesn't have the initiative to make the fight on his own terms against anyone with half a clue, as much as its to do with stamina issues (I really don't think he has the best stamina either, though like I say, a dude who is truly badly-conditioned wouldn't lst 12 with Chino, I'm pretty confident about that)

You're not wrong, broner is an idiot inside and outside the ring. He's a consistent performers, the only thing that changes is his opponents. He certainly doesn't have more talent than Garcia, that's preposterous.
