Very entertaining fighter. Capable of competing with most any fighter because he was just that damn determined, and disciplined.

Sad loss for boxing, I liked him . Was a very good and skilled boxer, one of top10 with most heart of all in modern boxing. We salute you!

Probably the right time - no way for him to top his earlier achievements, not enough high reward fights out there to make the risks potentially worthwhile. Hope he enjoys his retirement.

Bradley will retire like those other duckers at 147 will: Pacquiao, Floyd, and Khan... Without once ever facing Porter, Brook, Thurman, or Spence.

This is first generation of Welterweight Champions who never once got to fight their illustrious counterparts from the previous era. Unless you count Paulie Malignaggi as an illustrious Welterweight Champion and I don't...because he allowed himself get shittcanned by Shawn Porter...

Tim and the boys were around for several years when many of those match-ups were certainly attractive... I guess they were too dangerous.

That's f*cking idiotic. Pacquiao, Bradley, Mayweather, and Khan all fought opponents who were immensely better than Porter, Brook, Thurman, and Spence. You would know that if you had any clue about boxing.

Bradley ducked Errol Spence. Wow, you hold him to an insanely high standard, my friend.

I always liked Bradley and he never struck me as a guy who avoided fights, but to be fair, very few fighters do, so I could be somewhat blind on that level.

I wish him well in his retirement, to me, he definitely earned it.

Excellent point. Going to UK to win his first world title overseas set a good pattern for current road warriors like Crawford and Spence.

As for the charge that Tim "ducked Spence, Thurman, Porter, etc" that's pure nonsense. The guy accuses both Bradley and Pac of ducking top talent at 147 when 3 of their fights at welter were against each other.

In this sport it always nice to see a boxer that knows when it's time to quit.
Sure Bradley probably has a few good fights left in him but if he no longer wants to be in the ring then he shouldn't be there.
That applies to any boxer, if they don't to be there to begin with they shouldn't be there. We see too many boxers who don't really want to be in the ring taking a beating so they can collect another paycheck.

Tim had a great career, was involved in some great fights, won titles in two divisions, fought a lot of the near weight top fighters of his time and his only losses were to an all time great boxer.
I doubt Tim gets into the hall of fame but that's not a knock on his career.
In a 37 fight career he posted a record of 33-2-1 with one no-contest.
During that run he recorded wins over Manny Pacquiao, Juan Manual Marquez, Jesse Vargas, Devon Alexander, Lamont Peterson, Ruslan Provodnikov, Kendal Hold and Junior Witter.
That's a very solid body of work.

For me the fight that sticks out was his first world title win when he went overseas and beat Junior Witter for the WBC 140 title. I don't recall having seen Bradley prior to that fight and was impressed with the way he handled Witter.

I am not sure that there is a boxer with a more impressive resumé over the last ten years.

Miguel The Octopus In Quicksand Vazquez was ten years ago almost to the day, which began a run of fights that could be considered one of the toughest stretches of fights in boxing history: Witter, Cherry, Holt, Campbell, Lamont Peterson, Abregu, Alexander, Casamayor, Pac, The Provoglodyte, JMM, Pac, Chaves, Vargas, Rios, Pac.

In that run he took the 0 from Peterson, Abregu, Alexander (in a row), and Vargas. He defeated both Pac (in a close decision) and the man who Planquiaoed him. He defeated The Provoglodyte at the height of his career in an all time great fight.

Ramming Speed fought excellent, dangerous fighters at their best. While he did not fight everyone, I challenge all of you to offer up a boxer who has a superior list of fights since July 27, 2007.

Ramming Speed will enter the hall of fame.

^ Yup, Bradley whose not even a big puncher became a boxing star and attraction during a time when Pac and Mayweather were in their primes.

He made them make room for him.

A very tenacious fighter who gave it his all every match and has a very impressive resume, Bradley should have been Floyd's 49th fight imo.

With 2 legends and many champions who were in their prime under his belt and resume, Bradley is definitly HOF worthy.
