There wont be so much good boxers after Joshua sparks Parker , Povetkin and Wilder. (which most likely will happen)

The only two guys who can save it again will be Daniel Dubois and maybe Tyson Fury if he returns in great shape.

Imagine Joshua fighting those easy pies after he sparks out current top 5.

HW division neeeds more bigger names and prospects who can make it interersting in some years

Jun Long Zhang, Mladen Miljas, Tony Yoka, all kind of guys who have the potential to, well, at least be compatative against AJ within 5 years.

Zhang, past the fact that he's not very good, will be well over 40 in 5 years. I'm surprised you didn't mention Briggs.

I don't know that he sparks them all out.
Wilder has a windmill in a breeze's chance of KO'ing AJ.
Parker has a slim chance of out working AJ to a decision in a few fights time.
Povitkin, I might need some more time to think of a winning way for him.
What about big daddy Browne? Punchers chance perhaps?

Your kind of right though, there is a gap outside the top 6 or so and the up and comming talent needs more experience before they are ready.

Filip Hrgovic, Oleksandr Teslenko, Sergey Kuzmin,Vladyslav Sirenko, Ivan Dychko are all better than those. Plus Oleksandr Usyk will be moving up..

I'll tell you about how it gets boring... It was boring in the days of Joe Louis's derided "Bum of the Month Club." ... Once he got past Carnera, Baer, Schmeling, and Braddock, Louis had nobody to fight for about 10 years -- the exception being Billy Conn a Light Heavyweight ... Charles and Walcott only had each other to fight.. And who did Marciano have to fight??? NOBODY!!!

Floyd Patterson had a few people to fight -- but he fought other people... Ali fought some of the most derided challengers in the History of Boxing in London, Wepner, Coopman, Evangelista, Dunn, Spinks etc ... Lennox Lewis had to wait over 10 years for Tyson and Holyfield to fight him -- he frightened Bowe and a lot of other scaredy cat opponents off entirely ... The Klitschkos couldn't fight each other. Haye, Fury and Joshua were the only guys who really had an outstanding chance to beat Wlad in the last 13 years ... Fury was another Buster Douglas -- a complete bust.

But now we have Joshua ruling the division... Opponents include a return with Klitschko.. Ortiz.. Wilder.. Haye.. Povetkin.. and Parker.. We've been trying to get some of these fights going for years.. There's a serious backlog.. So once AJ works his way through the above list in at least 2 years -- there's going to be new challengers for him.. Since we don't have a crystal ball, we don't know exactly who they'll be..

Rest assured, with the money in Boxing in 2017 ... they'll be there... No more boring people to death.

I think Ortiz might beat AJ.

Well, I'd have to say, the latest months it seems to happen more often actually.

Tom Schwarz vs Marcin Siwy, 19 and 17 - 0 !!
Parker Hughie ofcourse
Wilder Ortiz perhaps, probably not in reality knowing Wilder, but at least Wilder acts like it.
And a small one on the undercard of Miller, who himself now also steps up.

I really like this year a lot more as last year.

Sorry to say this to a kiwi, but Parker would have to improve 100% and show me something I've not seen from him to have any chance vs Joshua. He looks made for AJ right now

Browne, he should get battered. Not at that level. If he could take the power of Joshua who knows, but I doubt that

If Joshua sparks everyone and easily dominates it will of course become boring for fans.

Competition/rivalries are what get interest going. Here's hoping steady competition keeps coming

Was I hating on Ali??? Or have there been periods in Heavyweight History that were quite boring and I pointed them out??? You're getting the 2 things mixed up and my comments were factual.. Things are not boring in the present era and they're not likely to become that way anytime soon.

No wuckin furries mate, I'm well aware of Parker's limitations. If he has a good showing against Huey, and two more top 15 wins, then maybe he can be in the mix with AJ.
I doubt he will ever be at a level to challenge at the pinicle of the HW division but with a healthy dash of optimisim, we will see how he goes.
Personally I would like to see him fight big daddy Browne to guage his level. Huey is training hard and is going to be a live one, even that fight I give 50/50 so I'm realistic.

Lets not get too carried away. Joshua has a legitimate claim as the top dog in the division, for now, but his biggest win was over a 41yr old Wlad, and was let off the hook when Wlad should have finished him.
Some of you guys think he an ATG already. We'll see how the rematch goes. Before Wlad his resume was about as pathetic as Wilder's.

Even if Joshua is able to clean up the division, which is a big if, its not going to get boring anytime soon. Plenty of fighters for Joshua to beat still and the new generation of serious contenders are on the way.

Not claiming that he's an ATG, but he got the win over Wlad, who despite his age, looked as good as ever. Vitali said it was career best performance from wlad. Tactical error thinking he'd slowly wear him down when AJ regrouped. That's sport.

Wilder comparison isn't on. Josh had fought about 50 rounds prior to Wlad. His resume isn't going to be stacked is it. Wilders had much more fights to develop and build a CV.

Usyk will be a competitive opponent after moving up at HW.
I believe/hope a lot about Dubois, Yoka, Joyce, Hrgović, Dychko.
Last, but not least - there are always several young, promising HW fighters from Russia and Ukraina.......

Mladen Miljas and Oleksandr Teslenko actually live real close near each other, they could fight for the Canadian heavyweight title...
