I have no real source, and It could still very much turn out to be sky who get it, but I rang sky customer services about my account. Got talking to the geezer about boxing so I asked him what was happening with the fight and his answer was ''it's not confirmed yet, but it's unlikely to be on sky''...

So if true, that means is BT or ITV...itv are not geared up for that event IMO. Frank seems to have also binned the idea of PPV for Golovkin...is that to make space for BT to bid?

Plus , confidential post might have been placed in the wrong pigeon hole? have you thought about that?. The fella might have been going to collect his wage slip and found all this other paper work and bam! , you have a confidential information leak on your hands. Then said worker sees it fit to tell any Sky subscriber that ask on the telephone that they won't be showing the Mayweather PPV on Sky Box Office.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more talk of bt getting it. They cover UFC and now boxing, have the funds and also will be looking to explore Ppv. Maybe they will get it.

They'll be wanting a decision soon - in order to promote it everywhere for PPV - it's not long until the event and no coverage confirmed or any support fights.

I was talking to some friends at a wedding recently and they are big UFC fans and mcgregor fans but even they said that if mcgregor doesn't land a lucky KO punch within 3 rounds then he will lose as he hangs out his arse when forced to fight at a pace.

But they are all going to stay up and watch it and asked if i was going, i said nope im off to a music festival and will collect my winnings of a mayweather stoppage or mayweather winning all 12 rounds the next day.

Only logical choice when you think it's only 4 weeks out and they need Sky Sports News and Adverts 24-7 - you wouldn't get that really with any other platform. They have left it very late to promote to death for months in advance.

Even on Sky Sports News it's been hammered since 5pm announcement.

So it seems call centre workers aren't privy to highly confidential corporate discussions after all
