1 Million for Broner and Mickey

Just thinking , it sounds a lot of money, but after expenses and tax how much do you think they bank at the end of the day?

I think Mikey banks a lot more than Broner once his 6 baby mamas and 7 kids have their cut

I predict Broner to be bankrupt within the next 10 years. That was his last six figure payday, expect him to be either a gatekeeper or incaserated from now on
:salut:

It won't take 10 years. With legal expenses and child support he'll have serious financial problems at times even WHILE he's still an active fighter. He'll be one of those guys that keeps having to make ill advised comebacks because he's too stupid to make a living doing anything else, and too stupid to hold on to his money.

True.
I gave it ten years to be safe.
He will still get fights but I think 500,000 or less from now on.
He likes to live the Money lifestyle and is overflowing with poor life choices and bad company. Which is why I added the jail alternative.
Personally I don't like the guy, but I also don't like former boxing champions falling on hard times even if they are an idiot.

Broner's a piece of sh*t who has LITERALLY flushed money down the toilet. I feel no sympathy whatsoever for the financial problems he'll inevitably face.

I don't really have a problem with AB as a fan. Boxing needs its pantomime villains. He also earns his dough the hard way. It wouldn't give me any pleasure to see him go bust. It could happen to any of us at the end of the day.

Yeah, but not all of us are jackasses that flush money down the toilet now are we?

He also once gave a homeless dude some money, then bragged about it on social media...naming the dude he gave the money to...which led to the poor bastard getting beaten up and robbed of the money AB had given him.

Like I said, I feel no sympathy for that asshole.

No, I knew he was a strange dude. I didn't know he'd done that though.

Broner will not lose his chin or his defensive skills, but in the next two years his speed will go.
He needs to take as many fights as he can in that time period. And keep training. Invest his money well and retire.
Right now there is no point in anyone fighting him unless your stepping up in weight for the first time or moving from a C grade fighter to a B grade. He has just had his 'mega' fight and lost. There isn't going to be another one.
Unfortunately his ego will probably win out and he is going to do a 'Khan' and wait too long for a big payday that just isn't going to happen. Two years later, his speed is gone and he is broke enough to accept a fight with a small payday that he will lose and it's all over. That's if he stays clean and out of jail.

Lots of prospects or burgeoning contenders will be looking to fight him now. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody like Regis Prograis was looking to fight him next.

I accept that plenty of up and coming guys will want a piece of him but his ego will declare his big payday and no one will be in a position to offer it.
He would make a perfect gatekeeper, but his ego will say he is a future champion again.

His ego is just gonna have to take the hit because a lesser payday is better than NO payday at all. If he keeps demanding massive paydays he'll soon find that his phone hasn't rang with offers in a while, and reality will hit home.

And here is the ego we were talking about;

"Mark my words, I'll be world champion real soon. I just turned 28, my career aint over - I got a long way to go. Were going to go to the drawing board with About Billions Promotions and Al Haymon, and do what's best for me," Broner told BS.com.
"Ain't nobody undefeated. Everybody got one, two or three losses. It's what you do after the loss. I'm good, I'm in shape like a motherf***er. I didn't take no real punishment. He was the better man tonight, but mark my words - I will be world champion real soon."

I'm sure he genuinely believes that stuff. The fact that he THINKS he's that great of a fighter is a large part of the reason why he has the 3 losses he has.

He's going to do a 'Khan'
Wait too long for a ghost opportunity/ payday while becoming increasingly irrelevant.

I consider Broner more than a gatekeeper. I still think he gives most fighters huge problems. I wouldn't be surprised to see him win a belt again in the future. He is still fast, powerful, and has good stamina. I don't care for the guy, but he is still better than most make him out to be. I knew Mikey would beat him just because Mikey, for me, is the 2nd best fighter in the world. But, I can see Broner giving all but maybe a couple 140 pounders more than they can handle.

He'd still give guys that aren't ready to be title challengers problems. Legit Top 5 guys at 140 or 147 will beat him from now on. Regis Prograis is ranked about #9 or so right now in my view, and I think he'd kick Broner's ass.

He says he will get a belt.
Given the two guys that have all the belts, I don't think that is a reality at super lightweight. Beating Rancis I don't see either.
I'd like to see him in against Taylor, Matchroom could probably come up with the money he is seeking if he is prepared to travel.
I agree Regis would be a good match, but it would come down to a lack of money.

He's poor defensively, no instincts at all. Definitely has a top chin.

I forgot about that....
Isn't Broner still facing some charges relating to the SUV he was in and firearms etc?

It wouldn't really surprise me if Broner beat Rancis, who has already lost two fights on my card (Relikh and Usmanee). Broner still has good talent---very quick hands, solid power, and toughness--and I think even with his flaws he can beat non-elite guys at 140 (look at how easily he handled Khabib)

If you view him outside the lens of someone who was hyped up to be a P4P fighter, he's done pretty well.

I wouldn't be surprised if he got a few more paper titles. If he wantsto stay at 140 there will be 5 vacant titles up for grabs sooner rather than later. I'd love to see Broner fight Crawford, not that it would be remotely competitive, but out of curiosity if TC's nasty body shots could take him out.
