David Benavidez vs. Ronald Gavril For WBC Belt! Dirrell Injured

The WBC has been informed of a regrettable injury by Anthony Dirrell who is scheduled to fight for the WBC super middleweight championship on September 8 against David Benavidez.
Tom Brown Promotions has had the September 8 commitment for a long time and has requested the WBC to accept David Benavidez vs Ronald Gavril to fight on such date for the championship. Ronald Gavril is the NABF champion and is the highest available contender.
Considering that Callum Smith, Avni Yildirim and Chris Eubank Jr. are all competing in the WBC Diamond Tournament with the World Boxing Super Series with the winner of such tournament becoming mandatory to the WBC championship.
The WBC hereby confirms official sanctioning of the bout between David Benavidez and Ronald Gavril for the WBC super middleweight championship.

The WBC title gets less and less prestigious all the time. It's often the case that their guy isn't THE guy now.

Lol Dirrell is too funny. After Benavidez camr in as replacement for Smith, Dirrell is like f*ck that shit, gotta fake an injury out of this one.

Him and his brother aren't active enough for me to consider them as boxers, I hate boxers who fight once a year if they can help it.

Him and his brother aren't active enough for me to consider them as boxers, I hate boxers who fight once a year if they can help it.
David has been quite active this will be his third fight this year and he fought 4 times last year.
Shame the Dirrell fight isn't happening ... I was looking forward to that.
I think Jose got shot so that explains why he isn't fighting.

Nah bro I meant the Dirrell's haha, I think David would drill him anyway, he's got a load of fights and he's still only 21!
