if the fight was made today, who wins?

Burnett has lot of potential but I am not sure he is ready for Tete yet.

I get where you are coming from but anyone with a world title is ready to fight anyone in their weight class and shouldn't be turning fights down.

Burnett has a tough fight next and the Tete fight isn't going to happen anytime soon.

As much as people slate Franks "big offers" I think he is being legit when it comes to Tete.

Tete like so many fighters now needs a big fight right now.

Frank did not do much to build Tetes profile since signing. Now he sees the opportunity for a big fight piggybacking on Burnetts growing profile. If I were Eddie Id rather put Burnett against McDonnell for the unification. After that, if he wins, he will be ready for Tete.

It wont happen because there's a real chance he'll get flattened the same reason why quig/frampton/santos will never fight rigondeaux.

That's just boxing....or so we're repeatedly told by promoters.

after Burnetts win over ZZ how does he fare with Tete now?

No chance it happens. Burnetts next two fights are pretty much set as Hearn can keep things in house.

Tetes best chance of a big fight is Inoue when he moves up.

Sad to see Tete face fighters no one has ever heard of. I reckon he could be a star over here and in the States with the right backing.

Hard to say, but I think it'd be a real competitive matchup, and I'd love to see it. I'd probably favor Burnett at the moment.

Its a fight that should be made because unification should always be a priority. Titlists should fight each other to crown and prove a clear best at the weight. And it'd be a really big fight in Belfast where Tete has already said he's happy for it to take place. But its a fight that I'm pretty sure won't happen because Adam Booth won't want to put Burnett in with Tete....and with good reason imo cus Tete would beat him and quite possible in a nasty fashion.

So I understand why it may not happen, but I find it frustrating because it'd be great to see the weight class unified and Tete really deserves to be involved in some proper action. He's too high quality a talent to not showcase his talents on the big stage in real career defining fights. I hope his career is not one of a fighter who never got a chance to prove how good he was. Frank needs to do some real graft for this guy and get him some major fights.

Even Camp Eddie would struggle with Tete.

Tete is the classier operator, there is no doubt.

But I wouldn't put it past booth to come up with a game plan that frustrates his rhythm and gives Burnett a shot at winning a stinker.

Burnett for me. For one he is enormous at the weight and highly skilled. Yes tete looked amazing against butler but paul is a left handed orthadox with not the greatest back hand. And against a world class lefty you need a great righr hand. Ryan has this. And he also has in adam booth one of the best coaches and tacticians in the world
