I haven't seem this movie on TV since about 1987.

( at about 1:32 one famous Boxer came to mind to me)

BTW the big "palooka" in the ring with Jerry Lewis was Eddie Simms (age 42 yrs in 1952)
He was a heavyweight fighter who had 100 pro fights from 1930-1949.
He even fought Joe Louis in 1936.

Jerry Lewis was a really big boxing fan.I remember on the Joe Louis documentry he said was doing some show on Broadway I think took a break to go see one of Joe Louis fights IN New York City
was going down the isle to get seated and the fight was over he sat down
(he didnt mention on that show which particular fight he attended, but my guess would be it was probaly Louis vrs Tami Mauriello in 1946 at Yankee Stadium.

Eddie Simms has the distinction of being Joe Louis's fastest knockout (26 seconds into the first round)
He is also the one who famously said after being knocked-down(with a left hook) and while getting up from it saying to the referee
Art Donavan while holding his arm,
"Let's Get out of here","Let's go on the roof or someplace".
When he said that the ref waved the fight over.
