Curtis returns to the ring in September on a bill in Doncaster (The Dome) I thought Woodhouse was the manager of Bridlington Town. I might be wrong but Not sure how he is going to be fitting football management with boxing.

I thought he combined the two previously? Wasn't he manager of Goole Town and Sheffield FC during his first boxing career?

His next fight will more then likely be one of the easier he's had for years, he is use to fighting at a very high level. he will be in with a journey man that he will either out box with ease or A foreigner then he will knockout within 2 rounds....

Wasn't it claimed that he placed a large bet when he turned pro that he would win the British title? Something like £5k at 50:1?

I've known a few problem gamblers and whenever you hear about the amazing bets that come off, I always wonder about them keeping quiet about the majority of bets that don't come off. An old mate of mine, last time I ever saw him, he couldn't take his eyes off the telly in the pub, which was showing an Italian game. He'd bet something like £400 of a credit card available balance - the last of the remaining credit - on something like the over/under of yellow/red cards. He was telling me the ref was reputed to be quite stern. I thought he was fxxking nuts. Don't know if it paid off for him.

Anyway, good luck to Curtis and I hope he is fine money wise

Sad to see people that are addicted to gambling.

Never really been much of a gambler myself. Not that I am against the idea of a flutter, but certainly can't understand why people put hundreds of pounds on it. That's beyond me, somehow.

People who spend their last money on a bet. I mean, it's just sad that people can get like that on something that is basically a hobby.

Who said Curtis was a gambling addict if so he's even worse running a tips service should know better than to drag people down with him for financial gain.

He ended up being accused of running a back to lay scam from alot of the people following his "tips"

I admire Curtis a lot for what he achieved.

But why comeback ? What is he going to achieve ? He isn't going to get near what he was plus Limond beat him pretty bad and that was a few years ago.

He reckoned he won £72k on A treble of Fury to best Wlad, Degale to beat Bute and spurs and Chelsea to draw.

Bridlington Town got beat 3-1 by South Shields today in the early stages of the FA Cup.

That Deal or No Deal machine where you can win those gift tokens thingys was a bit addictive, mind. I won 53 on my first attempt.

Brid beat Parkgate FC today 2-1, so Curtis not far to travel to the Dome from Rotherham. Donny will be full of Brid women tonight all wearing kiss me quick hats cheering on Curtis. If he gets beat there could be a bloody riot.

Great to see Curtis back to winning ways. Won on points. Going to be a good year for Brid.

That's the weekly profit, still a lot though £200k a year when they have 4 per shop, that's why you often get 3 of the same shop on one street, if they could they would have 20 in each shop.
