Marquez had a lot of fantastic fights.

Pac 1, 2 and 4 were all amazing fights. 3 was a good fight too just more tactical in nature. Fight 4 was the best because they were both so sick of close calls they were going for the gusto in that one, and it was awesome!

Marquez vs Juan Diaz 1 and Jimrex Jaca were really fun fights as well. The first Juan Diaz fight was Fight of the Year the year it happened.

Marquez COULD be boring if his opponent didn't engage him as he was a counter puncher by nature, but if you were coming in trying to his head off, he was gonna be trying to take your head off right back, and it was gonna be a fun night!

I thoroughly enjoyed Marquez's career.

Also Ricky...if you've never seen Barrera vs Morales 1, or Chacon vs Bazooka Limon IV (1982 Fight of the Year) or Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Yaqui Lopez 2 you absolutely HAVE to see those fights. You won't regret it.

I don't think i ever seen a boring jmm fight. Pac 3 was perhaps dull compared to the other 3 fights but most fights are if that's the standard. Cheers - i've seen Barrerra-Morales but not the others.

On the subject of Barrera-Morales there's a great video of trainer Robert Garcia explaining the hatred between them somewhere, i'll see if i can find it.

The most boring fights I ever saw Marquez in was the fight with Derrick Gainer, and the fight with Victor Polo. Both of those fights were stinkers. Thankfully the fight with Polo was on the same card, and followed up by Castillo/Corrales 1 which more than made up for it.

Believe it or not even Marquez's fight with Orlando Salido was pretty dull. Salido improved, and got a lot better after that fight.

Marquez was in entertaining fights a lot more than he was in boring fights though.

Hell even Arturo Gatti had some fights that weren't as exciting or memorable as the rest of his career. They can't ALL be classics. Hell a guy wouldn't be able to stand it if they were.

I'm not sure if a fighter has done more running in 7 rounds than Gainer did during that fight.

Look how authentic that cake is! They even have the hypodermic needle in JMM's ass... Wow, fantastic realism.

First of all Pacquiao should have been face down to be real. As far as the needle comment, fornicate off. Pac fans are still crying because they thought JMM was juicing. The funny thing is, he agreed to take any tests as long as Pacquiao had to do the same. Team Pac then dropped the request.

Pac is the poster child for juicing in Boxing. I'm glad JMM fought fire with fire.

It was worth the end of the fourth fight alone.

I'm sure they both used to the gills, but JMM was unfortunate in how his body visibly changed (muscle, gut, bacne) in the process. He was one of those guys you could look at and immediately think 'PEDs' without actually seeing the change in his performances.

One of the best (the best?) combo punchers I've seen. It all flowed together so well and was beautiful to see at its best....he was one of the fighters I tried to emulate when I was first learning to box. I quickly learned that it wasn't as easy as he made it look...

Manny's body didn't change? He looked like Bruce Lee against Cotto. If I had to pick one juicing fight in history it would be that one.

It did, but I don't think to the extent that JMM's did. The gut and bacne weren't as visible, nor did he gain bulk as rapidly.

There was a marked change from the third to fourth fight.
