What do you think about ? Is this possible ? If yes - who wins ? How ?

Genuinely is too close to call, I can't imagine Crawford having any issues with his power once he moves up a division. I think Spence needs a defence against a solid opponent, perhaps Garcia or Porter so that he can gain some extra experience at the top level

50/50 fight, 10% chance it happens.

Spence is superior in every department. Spence tkos him late in the fight. Tc moves, angles will make it difficult first 2-3 rds. Spence gets his rythm and mid fight they ll eventualy brawl short period of time and tc will run ones he feels the power. At some point it will stop.

Not sure about that plus Crawford at the moment has better intangibles. He's has better handspeed, goes to the body just like Spence does, has power in either hand, and has better movement than Spence. Just the fact that Crawford can switch stances at will and Spence would have to adjust to it would give him trouble. The only advantages I give Spence is that he's bigger and stronger with just as good or better chin. Anyone else wouldn't have these advantages over Spence but Crawford does.

We don't know how much of Crawfords punch and punch resistance will be at this higher weight..Probably carry his power up with him but who knows/

Has anyone in their prime had their chin or power greatly diminished from moving up one division? I don't mean just a one off money fight, permanently moving up.

Donaire and Johnny Tapia may have been past their primes but their punching power was less effective as they moved up in weight. Pavlik seemed to have less power at 168 although he may have been past his prime.

Nicholas Walters seems to have been affected from moving up in weight..

Donaire was as big a puncher at Bantam as he was at Fly. Tapia was never a puncher. Pavlik was definitely done at 68, what did he have, 2 fights there?

I never had him in the Crawford category, but that one fits a bit. :TU:

I didn't follow Duran at 135 but he seemed to keep pop and chin up to 154, Leonard seemed ok up to Middleweight and Floyd seemed good up to 154?

Duran dropped pazienza with one punch at 168 well into his forties.

I agree. But size & power and if your opponent can take a punch or not are crucial points.

Take paulie for example. Good footwork, good technique. He was athletic and had good stamina & speed. Imagine him with a strong body and a powerful punch, he d be on mosley level. Dumb example i know, but you getmy point. I cant see crawford matching spence or thurmans physic and power. I am not saying he gonne be weak like timmy at 147, but he wont handle the top 2 guys. Even brook and porter will pose him hzge problems.

Crawford is the better fighter, they both carry power and I think the height and weight advantage for Spence levels this one a little

I'm still about 60/40 Crawford

Since moving to 147 in 2005, Floyd has gone 15-0-0 (3KO) of those 3 stoppages Sharmba Mitchell and Rick Hatton were 140 fighters that had moved up and stopped no-one at 147, the other was a cheap shot against Ortiz.
As for his chin at higher weights, he never got stopped because he won every fight by not getting hit, there are very few fighter in history who got hit less than a late career Floyd

I think his best weight was 115, he did drop off at bantam. Not sure if that was the weight or the end of his prime. I'll accept that answer. :TU:

Crawford doesn't necessarily need power to beat them. Power and physicality isn't everything. Crawford is skilled enough to beat those guys without his power. It is a mistake to believe all you need is power to beat someone like Crawford.

Crawford got skills, so do keith n errol. Crawford has good footwork, so do k n e. I doubt crawford has 147 elite power, i doubt he can handle those skilled punchers. K n e got elite power who even 154 boxer would respect and both can handle crawfords power.

I dont hate on crawford he is a top 2 p4p in the world and one the 10 best lw ever. But at 147 he will have crushing defeats.

Thurman isn't a big puncher, less skilled than Crawford. That wouldn't be a very hard fight for Bud.

Bery hard puncher. He just wasmore technical moved more banged less concentrated more on stamina and winning rounds. But he is in beastmode and lands one the oponent goes down. One of the 10 hardest puncher we have in boxing right now.

We ll see who wins. I say thurman.

To be honest, they both need to get a couple of big wins at welterweight before that fight happens. In a year or two it will be a mega fight. Spence is a huge drainer, so not sure how long he will stay at welter either.
If/When it happens, my money would be on Spence, but good fight. Spence is taller, stronger, and has solid skills. Crawford really hasn't been tested yet in a really good fight. We all saw Spence in a close fight until he broke Brook down. I think he would eventually do that to Crawford too.
