Supposedly from age 12 till he was 16 he boxed as an amateur before switching to MMA. Any of you Brits and Mick's have knowledge of his records whereabouts?

McGregor did start of training in boxing but never fought as an amateur either

This would already be out in the media to help legitimise this fight if it existed.

I see an interview with his old trainer who said he wasn't better than any of the other kids..but trained hard

He boxed in Crumlin boxing club with the likes of Dean Byrne and Phil Sutcliffe Jr but the two lads were more talented than him by all accounts.

Did he actually ever fight or just turned up and hit the bag a bit?.

As far as im aware i think mcgregor has never fought as a boxer only trained as a boxer

Apparently these were weekly inter-gym bouts, McGregor participated in approx 40 before transitioning to MMA.

I don't know if they count as amateur fights or scrimmages. They're sponsored bouts (albeit sponsored by small local businesses) so presumably there are ticketed attendees.

Made better by the fact that he said it on live tv - the interviewer was shitting himself.

For such a paranoid sensitive soul, I would have expected Boomer to call him a rat and offer him out in the car park - but he didn't.
