6/1 Mayweather TKO 1-4 is that a good price?

Thoughts???
Not unless Conor just pulls a "No Mas" or something really early in the fight, and pisses a lot of people off real bad.crusader wrote:Floyd being far better doesn't suddenly make him a puncher....I don't see it ending within the first few.
In what way does paying out before the event takes place make sense? I assume this Paddy Power has no reputation worth sullying.stufm wrote:Paddy Power have already paid out on a Floyd win!

Agreed. McGregor has a good chin, Mayweather's not the biggest puncher, there's a size difference.gilgamesh wrote:I'd be going for Mayweather to get a TKO over the 2nd half of the bout more so than the first half.

Have you seen Mayweather's and McGregor's fights? I would be very surprised if the above happened.ALI wrote:This.stufm wrote:I reckon so, Mcgregor is likely to have poor defence and will get potshotted at will from the first bell. Remember against diaz 1 it was a punch which hurt him that led to him shooting for diaz legs,a punch that stunned him and had his legs looking like a baby giraffesCoco wrote:Asterix wrote:Agreed. Where has McGregor shown he has a good chin?
I know its unbelievable ! People on here talking about mcgregors chin or punch when they have only ever seen him in MMA, boxing is a different kettle of fish folks and MMA skills are not transferable to the boxing ring or visa versa, its a blatant mismatch, perhaps one of the biggest mismatches ever ! so yes 6-1 is a fecking dream price for an all time great to get rid of a novice debutant within 4 roundsCoco wrote:The fact that on this board there are enough people trying to construct a case for McGregor to win says to me that the casuals will have him as a red hot favourite!
It's unbelievable how the sheep fall for the hype!
The only was for something to go amiss, as Mimmy said, if there is something corrupt going on.
But for me PBF doesn't need to do anything corrupt, already a rich man, all he has to do is turn up to collect his 100 million, he won't even need to break into a sweat.
He's too smart and too cautious to jump in during the early rounds. He does not know what he is up against, it's not as if he can study previous fights and MMA stuff doesn't really count.crusader wrote:Floyd being far better doesn't suddenly make him a puncher....I don't see it ending within the first few.
It's always the same though - the closer a fight gets, the more people doubt what they know. How many of us knew Haye-Harrison was a total mismatch from the start but ended up getting carried away with the build-up and thinking "but what if..."littlepug wrote:I know its unbelievable ! Not that unlikely for me; he certainly punked out against Diaz, and that was in a sport he was familiar in.gilgamesh wrote:Not unless Conor just pulls a "No Mas" or something really early in the fight, and pisses a lot of people off real bad.crusader wrote:Floyd being far better doesn't suddenly make him a puncher....I don't see it ending within the first few.
