P4p #1 El Chocolatito

Um, where is he on the rankings? Whoever is in charge of the boxrec P4p/#1 ranking is a joke, he should be included.
You must be a casual. Anyone who knows boxing knows that last fight was a roberry. He should still be undefeated. His record speaks for itself. The current ranking is an embarrassment. I'm pretty sure Andre ward struggled in his last 2 fights and he's still there.gilgamesh wrote:He certainly shouldn't be #1. I don't know where Boxrec has him ranked, but they'd be out of their minds to have him #1 as would anyone else. He's coming off a loss, and has struggled immensely in his last 2 fights.
I thought he won his last fight, but even by the fact that it was close enough for him to potentially not get the decision it means he's not P4P #1. Chocolatito is a marvelous fighter, and I'm confident he's gonna win the rematch with the Thai. He's still not gonna be P4P #1. That being said he's one of the best little fighters I've ever seen, and would rank very highly in the all time standings of the weight classes he's competed in. Especially 105-112.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:You must be a casual. Anyone who knows boxing knows that last fight was a roberry. He should still be undefeated. His record speaks for itself. It wasn't that close what made it look close was the illegal headbutts he was landing. He should be P4p #1 his record is more impressive than canelo and if I were to bet I'd say GGG has got his number. I'm sure Chocolatito will win the rematch just like he won the 1st and when he does you guys should add him back to the rankings instead of glorifying robberies.gilgamesh wrote:I thought he won his last fight, but even by the fact that it was close enough for him to potentially not get the decision it means he's not P4P #1. I rank him ahead of Canelo. Canelo isn't P4P #1 in my book either.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:

Chocolatito at SFW is like if Mayweather moved up to 160 lbs. from 154 lbs. Chocolatito is too small for the division, and he's hanging with bigger, stronger fights. He for sure deserves to be at #1 if one were to think he won his last fight. I thought he lost to Rungvisai, but it was a razor-close fight that could've gone either way. Plus, anyone who actually follows the lower divisions (not many here do) knows that Rungvisai was a dangerous fighter.gilgamesh wrote:I thought he won his last fight, but even by the fact that it was close enough for him to potentially not get the decision it means he's not P4P #1. No...it's not like that.Mexi-Box wrote: Chocolatito at SFW is like if Mayweather moved up to 160 lbs. from 154 lbs. It's like when Floyd moved up from 130 to 147 maybe, but that's about all I'd give it.
All right that much we can agree on. Whoever controls the ranking needs a lesson in boxing.gilgamesh wrote:I rank him ahead of Canelo. Canelo isn't P4P #1 in my book either.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:

Nobody controls the rankings. It's a computer program as I understand it. Boxrec's rankings are not based on human opinion as far as I know.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:

Yep, a casual. You're equating common boxing knowledge with picking fights. Cleangilgamesh wrote:Check the scoreboard on Boxing*Prophet suckaMexi-Box wrote:Then you are obviously a casual.gilgamesh wrote:

Mr. Casual is crushing you.
I know more about Boxing than most anybody I ever speak to. I write about it. I have rankings for all 17 weight classes, and I pick the fights at a 90% accuracy of late. I'd like to know what credentials you got that makes you think you're more knowledgeable than me.Mexi-Box wrote:Yep, a casual. You're equating common boxing knowledge with picking fights. You can't compare those fights because Ward won both Kovalev fights with controversy. I had Kovalev winning the first fight. He's arguably 1-1 or even 0-2 because he should've been DQ'd for the blatant low-blows.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:I'm a casual.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:You must be a casual. Somehow hardcore fans have turned close fights into robberies.
Don't know my exact score, but it was close enough that either way wouldn't have bothered me.
Also, don't compare Kovalev (2x) to Cuadras and Wagnek.
Ward won 2nd fight by KO 8, in a fight in which he had positive momentum.
Against a guy in the argument for P4P #1.
Sorry, Gonzalez is a great fighter, but he was never P4P #1.
HBO signed him and then said it and then you guys believed it.
You'd be laughed off of a real forum with the opinions you hold.gilgamesh wrote:I know more about Boxing than most anybody I ever speak to. I write about it. I can tell. Don't know what fight you were watching El Chocolatito won that pretty clearly it was evident. He was and still is #1. I can compare whoever I want. HBO has more boxing credibility than you ever will. Casual.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:I'm a casual.FastestHandsInThewest wrote:You must be a casual. Um, No. Transnational Boxing, Ring, and ESPN had him #1. Most of them had him in the top 2 before he even made his HBO debut.BAD INTENTIONS wrote:Sorry, Gonzalez is a great fighter, but he was never P4P #1.
