Funny if he did and sat in their first big fight press conference saying "I still say he's a prick and it's in my contract that I get to take him in the ring and smack him about if he gets me 3 big fights"

Agree with everyone. It's a business decision. Incidentally, I strongly suspect Frampton has a lot of professional respect for Hearn. He comes across as a bright bloke and he will have seen how well he has done for many of his fighters.

Saw an interview with Hearn and he basically saying He doesn't have to like me. I can delver him big fights for big money. Hearn definitely wants the reunion

I get why folk think Eddie is daft and smug - but 'hate' is something I don't actually get ?

I think he's alright myself. Seems to be good to his fighters and pretty straight with the facts.

Gorgeous Eddie's on fire, fantastic promoter. He brings Sky PPV (=££££££'s) and the ability to land the BIG fights. Seems a natural fit to me, maybe his own promo company in a joint promotion with Matchroom

Yes, he will earn better and be in big fights. That's all he should consider.

Barry was like a dad to Carl but couldn't deliver financially.

Eddie can deliver financially but Carl hates him like an evil stepdad who's moved in with his mum.

Wouldn't FW be a decent halfway house in this situation ? Carl gets access to the BT Sport coffers and gets a promoter who isn't the father figure Barry was but isn't the slimy lounge lizard essex wide boy wannabe silver spoon tw4t that Carl perceives Eddie to be.

Does he get those fights or £££ on BT/BN either ? We hear of all these big offers - but very few get signed.

They pulled out of McDonnell/Butler after making one of these offers.

I didn't expect this one I thought he would go with a more high profile trainer, but it's just what I've heard today

I am sure there are other cases of fighters who can't stand their promoter. The thing is that Eddie and Frampton are the best for each other. Eddie gets a massive name and Frampton would get what he wants, in fact Frampton is a big enough that he could get big names over to the UK with the draw he has.
