He broke his hand after the Alapati A'asa fight which put him out for a while and then randomly went and tried kickboxing at the end of last year (unsuccessfully).

He came in a lot lighter for this fight as it looks like his handler are pushing for him to move down to cruiserweight.

That's the first time I watched Ahio and I wasn't that impressed. Quick hands and feet, decent technique, but ultimately a bit on the small side. I knew he was short but I was thinking he was in the sawn-off Frazier/ Bert Cooper mould. Mind you his performance looked a lot better to me in hindsight when I checked and saw that Daniel Tai was the guy who took Junior Fa to a decision recently.

I have a lot of respect and appreciation of these journeyman types who show no signs of realizing that they are meant to lose. Tai certainly seems to be one of those.
