Jack made it clear that he wants a showdown with WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (29-1, 24 KOs)

"I think Adonis Stevenson [is the fight I want next], let's get it on. I'll go to Canada. I'll go anywhere," Jack said. "Unless you want a trilogy with Andrzej Fonfara, let's get it on."

According to Stevenson, he is more than ready to fight Jack.

"It was a good performance. He beat Cleverly now. So now he called me out and I'm ready. I'm ready to fight and I'm ready to unify the title. For Andre Ward or him, I'm ready. It doesn't matter to me [which one]. It's great for me to unify and add another title to my collection. I want to unify the titles. This is my goal and that's what I want to do," Stevenson told Premier Boxing Champions.

There is one big problem in making that fight - both of them have pending mandatory defenses.

Stevenson was ordered to make a mandatory defense against Eleider Alvarez. That fight is expected to take place in the fall. Alvarez has been waiting for his shot at the WBC title since winning an eliminator in November of 2015.

For Jack, he was ordered to make a mandatory defense against WBA interim-champion Dmitry Bivol - and that fight could take place in the fall, as Bivol plans to fight in November.

Solid matchup. I don't think a lot of either fighter in terms of really being "The best" in the division, but it's a solid fight between two evenly matched fighters. Kinda funny that this is the "Lineal" Light Heavyweight Title at this point because Stevenson has made that completely meaningless.

He should be stripped for not fighting Alvarez if this occurs.

I think this would be an interesting fight. Few years ago I'd go Stevenson to land his big shot, now... jack is a smart cat. Very difficult fight, but he is beatable

Jack/bivolk is going to be great. The winner will beat Adonis.

LHW is the most loaded division in boxing at this time, imo. Does anyone have an argument for another division? I suppose one could be made for welter, especially if Hitman Jr. steps up.

Stevenson has (a very deserving) Alvarez to deal with. Jack v Bivol will sort a bit out.

SMW is packed as well. Cruiser will be cleaned out to one champ by the end of the WBSS and that's exciting. But your right about LHW, a lot of guys coming up in that division as well, so it's future is bright.

I'd be excited for both Stevenson/Alvarez and Stevenson/Jack. If he fights Jack won't he get stripped? I hope not. If so, both fights are interesting to me either way!

I agree with this. Right now I'm leaning towards Bivol, but that fight is going to be awesome and the winner will Stevenson IMO as well.

Pointless posturing from Duckinson. Jack has to fight Bivol and Chickenson has to fight Alvarez.
