Lewison has 6-8 weeks to get in shape, so lets see if he comes in at a decent weight. If he does I think he will give Joyce problems.

Mucha v O'Donnell on same card - Live on Dave.
Nice Friday night fight - so it doesn't clash with Burnett/Belfast.

Keep Lewison behind the jab if the Whyte fights anything to go off it'll be a 1 sided beat down.
Lewison never got anywhere near the talent he had at one time.

Don't see a problem fast tracking Joyce. He doesn't really have enough time to waste at his age.

I read somewhere they wanted Dave Allen for Joyce's debut, this is an even tougher test for him. No messing about here

Well youve got to give him and his team credit, no bullshitting here. Good luck to him on his debut nice to see a fight worth watching for a debutant.

Good match-up for JJ's debut. I love to see boxers fast-tracked when they bring extensive amateur experience, and talented but completely untested up and comer vs dangerous veteran is one of my favorite type of fights.

I'm curious as to what weight he's at now. He was in the 270s last fight and tired very quickly, and I'd imagine that with a year out of the ring he may have blown up even more. Seems to be one of those guys who just can't live the life properly....

very good fight mate, surprised he's being moved like this Ian Lewison is game regardless of his weight. Joyce via TKO

Blimey. Fair play to him. I'm actually off work that day so will be hoping to get a stream in my phone. I'm doing a lovely 5km beach run down in Naples, Florida.
Free beer afterwards

john o donnell on the card as well for the English welterweight title. he's had a strange career, remember when I first started watching boxing he was really lauded as a prospect, but then really struggled against craig Watson, got a gift and then lost the rematch. He also got KO'd against a Mexican or something on a big undercard I recall. Seems to take ages off, few fights, then goes awol again. surprised hes still fighting at welter - always seemed as struggle for him.

Providing Joyce doesn't do anything silly for 2-3 and that he doesn't gas out he should take it on decision or late stoppage

Joyce by TKO in rounds 5-7. Although I won't be shocked if Lewison catches him cold in round 1 and knocks him out.

Lewison will be dangerous for a few rounds but I can see him gassing out and getting stopped mid to late rounds.
Nice first bout for Joyce, relatively risky but definitely winnable, a win here will no doubt put him in line for a shot at the British title which should be another winnable proposition.

Very ambitious matching making for a pro debut. They obviously want to catch everyones attention but over 10 rounds !? With a durable puncher like Lewison that could go horribly wrong.

I rate Joyce highly.
Fantastic workrate that will really look fantastic against a overweight Lewison.
I see his corner pulling him out around the 9th.
Watched Joyce for a fair few years. Really looking forward to this
Also glad they've moved it to the Friday. If all tv channels worked together to avoid clashes everyone benefits.

Lewiston, as he is actually called according to Adam Smith, has never seemed to bother getting in shape and he'll probably get stopped halfway.

What a debut bout for Joyce.
Applaud them fully.
This fight will steal the show. A good feeling for it.

Looking forward to this !
People talk about Joshua's size but Joyce is equally large with a really great work rate ( although less power).
Few heavyweights have good workrate these days especially those who are in the 110kg region . That is quite a formidable combination
I am hoping Joyce will look a bit more polished and learn to be a bit more elusive under his excellent pro trainer.
Lewison was a good well conditioned amateur 91kg fighter when he was 20 years old and being 120kg isn't right

Good fight - which is what Joyce needs.... although depends how motivated Lewison is.
