How about the winner of Gorman/Webb for the Lonsdale belt?
That would be a nice tune up and reward..

Personally I'd like to see him fight the winner of Gary Cornish vs Sam Sexton who are fighting for the British title later this month, it's a worth while belt and one he's never won as a heavyweight so it could be a good return fight for him before deciding if he want's to continue in the new year.

Other choices could always be either the European champion Agit Kabayel, who's 16-0 and only in his mid 20's right now or the Commonwealth champion Lenroy Thomas who hasn't fought since winning the title earlier this year.
Whoever he picks to fight would need to put up a decent challenge just so Haye could prove he is still ready for the world championship level fights.

To be fair, anyone else having a comeback fight after suffering an injury loss in a big fight would be allowed an easy fight.
But if he wants to put himself straight back into the mix then I think someone like Malik Scott would be fine. Arreola would be fun

Gorman and Webb are fighting for the John McDermott Memorial English Title, not the British. Doubt Haye will fight anyone other than Bellew in December and Sam Sexton still has a month to pull out of the fight with Cornish.

I'm not sure there was any progress in getting Haye and Bellew together. Eddie gave up in the end. They both had princess syndrome.

Haye has had nothing but easy fights since returning & his body still fell apart.

Haye's time for soft opposition has passed.

If he is really serious about the fight game, he should be stepping back in against the best possible opposition.

There's no sense in him treading water & setting up soft fights because he hasn't got that time to waste anymore.

Anyone else would be allowed an easy fight, but if Haye is serious about getting back in the mix it needs to be someone at least as good as Scott.

To be fair though, he did only fight 2 crappy guys after almost 4 years out of the ring injured on free to view tv. He maximised his earnings for those fights, but it's not his fault if Sherlock Holmes wants to come and watch.

Probably be some bellend on Dave.
