The World Boxing Association (WBA) Championships Committee notified today the teams behind Swedish-American Badou Jack, WBA 'regular' light heavyweight champion, and Russian Dmitry Bivol, who is the interim-champion of the division, that they must go to purse bids on September 25.

The WBA Championships Committee had ordered negotiations between British Nathan Cleverly, former WBA Light Heavyweight Champion, and Bivol on July 27.

However, on August 12, Cleverly was granted a special permit to face Jack on the condition that the winner would have to fight the Russian boxer. Thus, the WBA complies with its issued resolutions by calling Jack and Bivol to purse bids.

Jack by decision, but this is a real 50/50 fight. The winner would give ward a tough go.

I would like to see the winner against Beterbiev, firstly...

I haven't seen enough in Bivol showing that he can be beat Jack. He always fights the same way, and his previous opponents couldn't force him to adjust. He will have to against Jack.

That would be fine, ward or Stevenson would be better.

I do not hope about Ward-Stevenson, the both of them would prefer to avoid each other. I would like that I am wrong, of course.

I would rather see the winner fight one of them. Ward/Stevenson doesn't overly interest me.

Winner of this fight should become the sole WBA champion.

Jack is Regular and Bivol is Interim. It only makes sense.

Jack is one of the most underrated fighters in boxing,

I'm NOT saying he's all that,
but he is a very solid fighter.

I hope 168 gets sorted out.
I would like to see GGG once at 168.
