I noticed that GGG didn't throw with so bad intentions his power shots and not sitting on his punches so much, maybe to not get countered and also maybe to lure Canelo into a big shot ?! Who knows. When Canelo was firing back with his eye catching shots I saw that Golovkin was overwhelmed a little and he was backing up.

Canelo , also have his good moments with his speed and combos and I think if he would've chosen to swarm GGG, Canelo would've put him in really deep waters. The biggest problem of Canelo is his bad stamina.

yeah, also his age may played a factor.

..watching both of them I thought it was Canelo who was "ageing" and not the other way around..

Agreed.
Expecting GGG to win is a realistic expectation, expecting continued domination as he faces better opposition is an unfair expectation.
His last three opponents are easily the best of his career, it is not a coincidence that he has looked beatable in all three outings.

I thought GGG looked a little better against Canelo than he did against Brook and Jacobs, probably a little past his prime but still formidable - he won the fight pretty clearly. Based on this fight I'd have Jacobs beating Canelo if they ever fought.

I'd really like to see GGG move up to 168lb before he retires, as I feel he could actually be a little better at that weight, although he'd be at a size disadvantage against most.

GGG destroyed Brook, literally destroyed, and toyed with him.
Against Jacobs, my score was 114-113 GGG.
Against Canelo, my score was 116-122 GGG.
So, yes, GGG looked a little better against Canelo, then against Jacobs.
Brook is a quite different story.

I don't disagree with anything you said - he destroyed Brook, but didn't look great in doing it, even if it was partly by his own design.

Canelo looked like could have done more. He likes to fight in spurts due to his bad stamina although he finished strong (probably to impress the judges, especially Adalaide )

Yeah, he took some clean shots from Brook but this because of Brook's speed.

I think that GGG had felt that Brook has not been dangerous for him at all, and because of that he has been absolutely relaxed.

After watching the fight I thought GGG should have won clearly. The video I watched wasn't the best, with literally no break between rounds. If effective aggression is worth anything, GGG should have gotten at least 10 rounds. Canelo's argument (or his fans) said that was the reason he beat Lara. GGG beat Canelo much more clearly than Lara did. (I thought Lara deserved the win)

Canelo showed flashes of greatness, but too few and far between to win rounds. He was the one gassing, not much older GGG. There is a reason why Canelo ducked GGG for 2 years.

GGG just clearly beat a guy who is probably top 10 p4p. It was a tougher fight than most of his fights, that's what happens when you fight guys who are also really good. He may have slipped a hair from where he was a couple of years ago, but not much. If the GGG from 3 years ago fought the canelo from today, you would have seen a similar fight.

I just don't know why he started so slowly. Once he picked up the pace it was over. Canelo also has serious issues with his stamina.

He is out of his prime. Still a very good boxer and one of the best p4p. But a small portion of his power, aggressivnes, overall quality went away.

Yeh, His jabs were snappin Canelo's head back. Probably has the most powerful jab today.

Being the first time in Vegas he probably had some nerves to overcome, which would explain a slow start. Regardless, it's a sad day for boxing giving Canelo a draw he didn't deserve.

I don't see any signs of ageing or weaknesses on him. It's opposition that makes the difference.

If you can be hit, you will drop rounds to good fighters.

actually, he deserved a Floyd-like decision in this fight. no 120-108 but either 116-112, 117-111 or even 118-110 are acceptable scorecards on his favour.

I think it's mostly just the result of him being in with better opponents.
