I hope they do... And Golovkin can take a much bigger lead... Force Canelo to come to him -- and knock him out.

He's not knocking canelo out no matter how many times they fight.

I hope they rematch in May. I think that we would see a bit different fight and 3G would get another huge payday. In the meantime he can retire Cotto.

I get the feeling that Canelo has no immediate interest in a rematch. The clause is there but so is the memory of the punches he took. And it could have been so much worse for him if he had fought 'Mexican' style.

Canelo is going to hear about the time Golovkin beat him everyday until he fights him again. That will get to him.

Golovkin is contractually bound to grant Canelo a rematch, not vice versa.

Thats an interesting take. I agree with you.
It's a Mexican pride thing. He lost to GGG and furthermore, he ran and did not fight like he said he would. I think Golden Boy would want to wait a year, let GGG slide a bit more and hype the crap out of it. But I agree with your perspective and Canelos countrymen might sway him to fighting sooner.
