LOL@Saunders :'I’d love the Amir Khan fight, what a fight that would be'

“There’s some big names out there. Khan’s boxed before at 160, I’d love the Amir Khan fight, what a fight that would be,” Saunders said.
“He’s a very good name – I rate him – I’ve watched him for years, I know him and Kell Brook haven’t got it on, but if Khan’s looking for a big UK fight then I want to fight him.
“I don’t call his name by being disrespectful to him, I call his name because I think he’s a good fighter. I’m willing if he wants to come to 160, he done it for Canelo, he might not think I’m a good fighter to Canelo and he’s got a good chance of winning the title at 160, I’d love the chance.” @ b.scene
Saunders ain't willing to unify GGG, period. He's 28 y/o and he knows that the time is on his side, same as Canelo. Now he's wanting to fight washed up-chiny welters with a popular name.

Yeah, GGG would never fight a blown up welterweight would he?

Welters to middle is one of the best jumps in history imo
Calling out a welter when there are big challenges at your own weight isn't so great I guess
At least brook was a champion at 147?

Be better to fight Jacobs

Chiny-washed up Khan, KTFO'ed multiple times , has no comparison in terms of quality with the biggest-undefeated champion Kell Brook, who was a back up offer for GGG in case that CEJ doesn't find his pen, which it happened.

Now the mw division is stacked with GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, Lemieux, Charlo , etc and BJS calls out a chiny-washed up and beaten Khan.

Saunders obviously just wants to face the most formidable fighters in England. Like... Ricky Hatton. Carl Frampton. You know, sensible match-ups like that.

He's milking that belt like crazy. He should call out Crolla-Burns winner.

Too many guys like Saunders in Boxing these days. This type of behavior, and calling out for easy fights like this is pretty much the definition of the term "Paper Champion"
Saunders gets beat by several credible Middleweights. He knows it. That's why he won't be fighting any of them.
GGG, Canelo, Jacobs, Lemieux, Jermall Charlo all would kick his ass.
I'd pick Hugo Centeno to beat him too. Probably a few others I'm forgetting.

Saunders had agreed the terms of the contract to face Golovkin, but the Kazakh “lost his pen” and rejected an opportunity to add the WBO belt to his world title collection. GGG wasn’t injured… he simply didn’t want to take any risks of losing out on the opportunity to face Canelo.
Billy Joe actually mocked Golovkin’s refusal to take the fight to his face during one of GGG-Canelo pressers.
Saunders had also agreed to participate in a two-bout deal with GBP, with the second bout supposedly leading to the Brit defending his WBO title against Canelo, but Golden Boy Promotions reneged on the terms of the deal that had been agreed with Queensberry Promotions.
It’s your prerogative if you don’t like Billy Joe Saunders, but don’t make up all sorts of pure utter búllshít, because it undermines your credibility.
You can’t pretend to possess “expert” knowledge of the sport of boxing, but then fabricate all sorts of fictional nonsense that even J. K. Rowling would be proud of!
Oh, and by the way, this is old news! I’d already posted it to the forum a couple of days ago.

Yeah because Khan is really relevant in 2017 at championship level in the middleweight division isn't he? I'm getting excited already

Khan's not even a relevant Welterweight anymore.
Khan vs Kell Brook is the ONLY relevant fight out there for Khan, and even interest in that one is waning all the time.

He could, but it's still pathetic that Saunders is such a chickensh*t that's even trying to fight Khan. There's no shortage of worthy contenders at 160.

He hasn't fought any yet, no reason to expect it now. Khan, on the other hand, with all of the angst toward him will fight anyone.

I don't know about that. He's certainly fought a lot of tough opponents, but here lately he seems to only want mega fights, and just wants to wait around until somebody offers them.
Though granted this offer from Saunders is quite likely the most enticing option floating around out there for Khan right now so I wouldn't be surprised to see him take it.

I’ve already covered this topic in great detail on another thread, but here goes…
Billy Joe Saunders’ comments about Amir Khan were conveyed during the Monroe Jr. post-fight press conference.
Dominic Ingle says that the Brit can easily make 154lbs, which led to Saunders calling out Amir Khan.
Billy Joe also mentioned that he would be willing to compete from 154lbs to 168lbs.
Go to the iFL TV YouTube channel and review Billy Joe's comments in its entirety, because either "apollo creed" or BS misrepresented the Brits own words.

He hasn't been fighting at all, that certainly doesn't mean he's ducking anyone. Waiting for mega fights is his prerogative. Not like he's sitting on a title. Then again, I saw some jackass on here refer to Cotto as a woman earlier so maybe facing a lot of tough guys is so rare now that it incites rage.
